Cloth interior. Solid front axle (hey..they make the "100" in other parts of the world with SFA) E-lockers on front/rear plus center diff lock. The only options...Navigation and/or DVD and tow package.

Keep it basic on the frills...a beast on the hills..

Yes, I'm describing basically an 80 series under carriage on a 100 body, but hey....we can dream!

E-lockers front/rear, diesel, manual trans, and actual skid plates in lieu of the junky plastic splash guards.

in a few years would you upgrade?

in a few years time when 200s start becoming cheaper , will you consider upgrading from your 100s ? or will you keep your 100s for the long run ( 20 years ) or just get an '06 , '07 100 .

OR decide to get another brand ?

I live surrounded by these 200's.... at least 3 at EVERY traffic light and i still can’t get used to the looks. they are just look soft even with the hard core bumpers.

This is the prettiest 200 I have seen and I still prefer a 40 or a 105.

Like you I've asked myself the same question; where to go from here (at least here in North America)?! However I'd like to see how the 200 does under the same conditions I've subjected my 100 to over the past 6-1/2 years and almost 190k miles!

Just as, IMO, the 100-Series is more maintenance intensive overall than the 80-Series I suspect the 200-Series is going to be even more so especially with the additional electro-mechanical front suspension components.

And its even more work getting 35's on a 200 than a 100 if that's important...and nil bumper choices...dunno.

I love my 105, with lots of extras, factory turbo diesel, but having driven the 200, I would swap tomorrow. Hey, I am bloke, I'm fickle. That V8 diesel coming on song through a large bore exhaust is a beautiful sound

Hard to say, If I have the option to buy a 200 series with 100k miles on it for 13k when its 11 years old like I just did with my 100....I would prolly jump on it.

Nobody in the USA would buy a NEW vehicle designed by these guys. It'd right like **** (but it would wheel). :D

They're buying Jeeps...

I think the key would be to sell a 'stripper' version that had just the basics to keep the cost down.

2wd, lowered ride height, and factory 22" rims for these mall cruisers:flipoff2:
