WILDSMITH is correct about the plastic not being able to withstand the heat of the oven. Also, since plastic doesn't hold an electric charge the powder wont stick well. However, there are some powdercoaters who do plastic very carefully, I know this cause I have a friend that had his wheel centers powdercoated... the oven at a lower temperature and they were shot with powder and carefully placed in the oven. I would recommend paint on plastic just make sure to use a good primer/paint adhesion spray before you paint...BULLDOG makes some pretty good products for this. Paint is less likely to chip with the adhesion agent.

If you pwdr coat the wheels anywhere from $75-100 a rim is a decent deal. Try to talk a deal for all 5 rims because if you're carrying a wheel on the rear, you most definitely want it to be a Black Beauty just like the ones your cruisin' on!

No, leave all the running board brackets off.
ya, that would look strange
I was actually referring to the bolts that hold the brackets, sorry for the confusion lol

i put mine back in to plug the holes and put a little bit of sealant on them to keep the threads clean of rust, dirt, etc incase I ever need to put them back on.

Fawk!!!!! I was painting something in my basement/garage and got some overspray (white) on my Hundy's side rear window and quarter panel. There are some spots on the black molding, but the window is what I am worried about. Anyone got a good rememdy to get it off??

razor blade on the window, clay bar on the paint

Can someone throw up a pic or two of some 285/70/16s ta/kos on your rig. I want to see how they look on a LC/LX. Thanks in advance.

get 285/75/16s, then go look at the tons of trucks that have them in the 100 series picture thread.

Just installed my FR rack, man that thing is noisy... Did you guys put the 2 "fairing" plates that came with it on??? I didn't put them on because it would block the sunroof (not like I use it anyways...). You all that have made some type of real fairing up front, what did you use? I have got to get something up there before a road trip in three weeks.

I am waiting to see if Spresso recommends it and then will make a few more to sell. Right now I have one of those sunroof shield/bubble things over the front of the sunroof which seems to break up the wind flow significantly reducing the noise. I really don't like the look of these things, but underneath the rack you really don't see it.

Well, this is fairly random. My wife lost one of our two keys with the buttons on it (and a house key) last fall. Since she made it home we thought it must have been out in the yard or one of the kids got it out of her purse and hid it somewhere.

Fast forward to this week, our local grocery store chain calls us and tells my wife that someone found our keys. The key ring has one of those frequent shopper discount tags on it. Guess someone found it, called the store, they took the number on the tag and called us. Turns out it was at the dental office we take our kids to, someone found them in the parking lot in the dirt. They've been under the snow for 5 months or so. I guess my wife must have had both keys sets in her purse since she was able to get home. Glad she got home, but hate that she hoards the keys.

The best part - buttons still work!
