R151F to 1UZ or 2UZ

I am starting to gather parts for a 2uz or 1uz swap. I am leaning towards this over an LS/LQ swap because I wanted to keep everything Toyota. My truck is a 70 series but I am posting here because I know more people have the R151F in this forum. Has anyone ever used this conversion kit:

1UZFE to R150 R150F R151F

I will be using an AEM ECU to finish out this project because I want to be able to tune it easily and effectively in case I need to add a turbo kit in the future.

Worst case scenario is I run a 5VZFE and call it a day. No conversion parts needed, only oem parts and custom motor mounts with the wiring headache

My question would be .. it's the R151 up to the task behind a healthy 1UZ / 2UZ ..?

If you get a transmission built by Marlin Crawler it will handle the power. They have guys who have done this swap.

R series toyota transmissions can definitely handle the power of a 1uz or 2uz. They are what comes behing supras and have been known to handle upwards of 700hp.

I'm in the midst of a ax15 (r-series with jeep output) to 1uz. I have purchased my adapter from the website you linked. I have yet to receive anything. Waiting on shipping, starting to feel like I'm getting the run around. They sent me an incomplete tracking number yesterday and I'm going to ask today for the rest of it. I paid on June 20. he told me 3 days later it was shipping out the next day, then a few days later I asked again and he told me he was shipped the wrong throwout bearings, so he was waiting on those.

I'm really hoping its just a fluke, as all the info I can find on the guy says hes upstanding and trustworthy and everyone says to use that site for the swap. I'll update when I receive the kit. They are by far the cheapest company to go through, hopefully its worth the wait.

Just got the full tracking number from FedEx. Looks like he just forgot a couple of the duplicated digits. So it's onthe way!!

We see a lot of R151 behind the low powered 1HZ and all those dye pretty early .. torque .?
