Is your cruiser noisy?

Do you find your self saying "Crap, I wish it was quiet in my Landcruiser?"

Then you need "QuietCrap"!

CruiserCrap.com has teamed up with one of the leading OEM Manufactures of auto sound deadener products to bring you yet another offical cruisercrap.com product. We call it - "QuietCrap". We have worked extensively to maintain the highest standards of quality and we are sure that once you’ve used QuietCrap for yourself, you will agree that QuietCrap is the only solution to your sound deadening problems.

• QuietCrap Sound Deadener is one of the thickest (70-mil) deadening mats on the market. By applying QuietCrap, you will increase the structural mass of your vehicle and improve ride quality, and of course make your Landcruiser quieter.

• QuietCrap has an aluminum constraining layer that protects your vehicle from heat. It is not only flexible, it is also strong, allowing you to install it over sharp corners, holes and joints without ripping or tearing. We use a propritarty Butyl adhesive layer with a heat tolerance of 270 degrees Fahrenheit.

• Because of its flexibility, QuietCrap is very easy to install and will bond to all of the contours of your vehicle for an airtight seal that yields excellent dampening results.

• The adhesive backing used on QuietCrap is pressure activated. Once pressure is applied the adhesive becomes incredibly strong, making it very easy to install even in the most adverse conditions.

• QuietCrap is sold in 50 square foot rolls (18" x 33.30'), which makes it easy to cover large interiors, like a Landcruiser. Rolls also limit amount of scrap, you cut what you need for your project.

Do you have the acoustic loss factor numbers ?
Whats the weight per sq/ft or per 50ft roll ?

Cheers

I just put the quiet crap in my 85 FJ 60 this weekend, and the noise reduction is incredible.. This is a great product for the price, and was very easy to install.

How big of a roll did you need to do the entire 60 interior? Did you do the floor, sides, roof, firewall and tail gate? Did you do one or two layers?

Seems like a reasonably priced product.

Thanks!

100 Sq feet should be more than enough. I feel that 75 Sq feet would be perfect, and Iam working with my Vendor to do 25sq foot rolls.

Does this stuff soak up water? If it rains in the Cruiser or I hose it out, is it going to be wet for a week in there?

Jason, It is not absorbent. And the silver layer is aluminum.

Honestly, I 've never been asked this question. Personally, I would use a bed liner for a open cruiser, not this. Why don't I send you a sample. - Mark

Any info on this ? Pretty please ...

I am about to add sound deadening to my cruiser can you send me a sample of the quiet crap? pm me please. Thanks

I've put it in one door (PS/FR), all of floor, wheel wells, rear 1/4 panels and rear door on my 1998 80. Pleased with the results so far (still have to finish other 3 doors). I've used 2 rolls of 50sq.ft and will likely need another chunk. Its the same stuff as Rumble Mat but half the price.
The door made quite a difference to the music 'sound'.
I've also added REflextic (from Lowe's) as a 2nd shield (not in the doors) .

I was wondering where you are located to possibly save on shipping. Or could I get a shipping quote for 100ft shipped to 44870?

Does bedliner adhere to quietcrap? I am considering quietcrap but I really like the look of bedliner. Ideas? thoughts? thanks

You would need to pick one or the other, I would not recommend using bed liner on top of a sound deadener like quietcrap.

If it helps I bought 100 sqft (2 rolls IIRC) of QuietCrap for my 55. That was enough to do the entire roof, floor, doors, rear quarters, twice on the tranny hump and front floorboards and under front seats, and a good bit under the hood and some on the fire wall. A 2,800 mile road trip over 12 days in a SOA Pig on 35" MTRs prooved that QuietCrap works well for me.

I would think 50 sqft would cover the floor, some firewall, and some doors and would work great. While you are at it though (and especially considering the price) I recommending going hog wild and do it all.

Ordered 100sq feet yesterday, just curious as to when to expect its arrival so I can get everything prepped. Zip code 95118. I'm really looking forward to installing this stuff, I planned on adding this stuff to whatever car I was going to get sometime along the line, but I never expected to be doing it already, and in one of my dream cars, an FJ60!:D

Thanks Ya'll for the orders, As of today all orders of quietcrap have been processed. -Mark

I ordered some cruisercrap last Sunday. When can I expect it?

Usally 5-10 days shipping. It's heavy and I ship using the UPS ground slow and cheap. We had a issue with out tracking software, so folks did not get a tracking number. Shoot me a PM with your real name, and I'll send you tracking. -Mark

Will QC stick to the fiberglass interior top of my 40?
