The axles are as old as the seals which is like 6 months. Passenger side I'm pretty sure is OEM seal with trail gear axle. Driver's side is trail gear seal with trail gear axle. Only reason I didn't use a OEM seal on my d/s is my old axle(before I bought the trail gear axles) had a bad groove in it and it made the oem seal all catiwompus after like not even 1000 miles, so I decided to try the trail gear seal on the d/s. I put grease on the inside lip of the seal Everytime I put the axle in. Like I said I'm going to use a OEM seal this next time I do it. And yes the wits end tool seems very nice but I can have the same out come with a socket the same size as the seal. With my axles being pretty much new I see no reason to over drive the seal in.

How's the diff breather. Make sure the hose and fittings are clear. I had to remove the fitting and use a dental pick to clear mine.

I have about 20K miles on my Marlin seals and they are still going strong. My 80 mostly sits in my driveway unless it is out wheeling in the desert or hauling stuff from a Costco run. I walk to work. I used to ride my bike, but I got tired of getting hit by cars and ending up in the hospital. Having a little gear lube leak past your seal won’t make it fail. If it leaks, it is already failing.
