I had a push rod from number six come out the side of my oil pan. How is this even possible? I haven't taken the covers off and looked but is this something that happens?

So... where's the lifter?

I haven't pulled the covers off yet so not sure what has been distroyed. It still runs so I hope my cam is ok. I just can't imagine how the push rod could get out the bottom without busting the cam and lifter I will pull it apart tonight and take a look. I was wondering if it is common and maybe a easy fix. I have never pulled a F type motor apart before .

At least I had a little fun before I lost my push rod

Winter wheeling... it's a little softer!

F135 engine. Been there. Sticky valve caused mine to come out from under the rocker arm. Bent and straightened it a few times while on a LONG trip before making a custom one out of two later model rods.

No idea how it made it to the pan tho.

Pull the side cover too.

Best

Anybody need any f135 parts? New flow master exhaust with header two weeks old?

Freight might be a killer but @Ken White is after a head for his super rare early South African FJ40 here in NQ.

I don't know where you're at, but Tor (TorFab in Mukilteo, WA) was looking to get rid of short blocks last week or so.
Thanks, but I think this is the kick in the butt to move on a small block Chevy.

The motor is up for grabs complete or parts. The exhaust is all new and must go. Starter is new clutch and pressure plate are new makes me sick after putting so much time and money into it all I have is s big boat anchor!

Welcome to the fabulous world of old vehicles. The nice part is at least you CAN work on it yourself. Think how bad it would suck of you also just paid someone $1,000 to fix your engine. I tell myself that every time I pull my transmission.
