I originally ran mine loose. I wired it with 15 feet of 10ga landscaping wire with battery clips. That worked great. Now it's mounted and hardwired. I added an Anderson plug to the landscaping wire and to the hardwire, so I can put it in another vehicle, if needed.

I'm much happier after hardwiring it. I hated dealing with the power cable and the air hose.

Edited for clarification.

I did more less the same since I have more than one vehicle where is can be used ..

Same reason mine is loose also. Wired up just like Otters was

I have the very same scenario for my ARB .. I would think doing the same and reuse the wire that I already have for my ARB freezer ..

Which was your awg selection for this .?

I ran 4ga to the back for the Puma. I connected it to a blue sea power post. I then ran the Anderson plug off of that. I ran another connection off the post to an outlet for my fridge.

Otter any chance you can post a pic of the 4ga to Blue Sea post to dual Anderson's? That's exactly what I'm looking to do.

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't have any pics, and my setup isn't easily removed to get some.

I ran the 4ga down the driver's side and ended right under the sliding window. There is a metal brace behind the plastic where I mounted the power post. I had to mount the post pointing towards the outside of the truck. I ran a ground from the power post out the back of the truck to the frame. I went through the hole for the sunroof drip line.

Ok thanks, that helps. Part number or link for blue sea post?

Has anyone hooked this compressor up to a larger tank, like say 5 gallons? Any reason one should not do this?

I have almost pulled the trigger on this thing several times, but haven't. I need air and with the supercharger there is no option for a york.

I just am curious why these aren't on amazon? Would love free shipping....

Well, after reading the post, I just pulled the trigger on the compressor from eBay, thanks for the original post and for sharing all reviews/comments.
Now, do any of you guys who also run air tools, would mind sharing what would be the recommended setup for the Coilhose and fittings that:

1. Is long enough to go around the LC (they seem to come in either 25' or 50') OP mentioned being happy with a 25', but did not mention air tools, VIAIR seems to come with a 35'
2. Works for both attaching an inflator gauge (I am thinking http://www.amazon.com/Milton-S506-D...781619&sr=8-3&keywords=milton+dual+head+chuck) and air tools (looking at air consumptions from http://www.pumaairusa.com/products-15.html, 3/8" air tools seem to be the right size, which requires 3/8" ID air hose and air inlet 1/4" NPT)
3. Is flexible enough to carry in the vehicle with me and use as a wrench for changing the tires, obviously air up/down, and use in the garage for spray painting, air greasing, air blowing and engine cleaning, OP shows what appears to be male/female fittings.

It most be "common sense", but I have never seen so many options like fittings for air tools and some of them are branded "automotive", "Industrial" (there is a nice graph at http://www.portlandcompressor.com/compressor/Couplers_and_fittings.aspx), I want to buy the hose and gauge first (is there an inflator gauge that uses industrial fittings?), then the least possible number of fittings and start with some air tools

Thanks
