I have heard various ways to burp a 2F, including nose in a ditch and the reverse. What is the proper way to burp the engine block after flushing? The idea here is to eliminate any air pockets in the block, reduce the chances of overheating and to remove that gurgling sound from the dash/heater core.

Thanks.

my radiator is slightly higher than the head, so i have not had to do any special maneuver to burp the pig, however if you feel you need to, or that it needs to burp you want the highest point to be where its open to the air,,,,, i.e. radiator for most of us. get the frontend UP not down.

Crack the temp sender open and re-tighten. ;)

what if you do this, and the radiator starts to overflow a fair amount?

while the engine is burping, it will overflow, its got to move fluid out of the way to get the air out.

Just park it nose up, let it run, and keep rad full. Do it a bunch of times, and don't mind overflow. Check level every couple of drive cycles for awhile.

cool, was worried, so i stopped doing it, and kept monotoring the level every day
