Replacing the shocks on my 100 is on my list of projects but it's lower on the priority list than the following projects I did this weekend.

First was grouting the tile in front of the fireplace. The house came with only 2 rows of tile on the floor in front of the fireplace. It was too small to stand on, tend the fire, store bins of wood, etc. Plus, I had some hot embers jump out and get to the carpet. I added a third row of tile a few weeks back but finally got around to grouting it.

Second project was mapping out and terminating all the Cat5 cables with RJ45 connectors. The low voltage folks didn't bother to label anything inside the networking box. So I made a nifty little jumper with an RJ45 connector that connected the brown and brown/white wires at each wall receptacle/jack and then all I had to do was a continuity/resistance check between those two wires for each cable inside the network box. This worked well most of the time, except for the one wall jack in one of the bedrooms that the installer mis-wired when he did the punch-down. I wired all the blue Cat5 cables to the T568B standard and all the greens tot he T568A standard, just for grins. My Ethernet switch can figure out what standard was used so it didn't really matter but when I ran speed tests, the T568B wired connectors where just a hair faster. I have pretty slow internet at my house because I don't have access to Cable or DSL so the difference between 6 Mbps and 9 Mbps with Lobo Wireless is a big deal.

Lastly, I installed a water softener. The hardness of my water ranges from 15 - 40 grains per gallon depending on the time of year and the agricultural demands on Entranosa water. So it's pretty hard, even at its lowest levels. Looking forward to doing a full regeneration cycle to charge the resin tonight after the salt has had 6 hours to fully brine the water in the brine tank.

I ordered from Amazon a week or so ago. Expected delivery is May 3rd. Sure glad I'm not in a hurry.

I've had my rear bumper on since the end of August and have been using it. Since then I've been intending to pull it off, tack in the two upper captive nuts on the inside of each frame rail, and prime/paint it. Well, 7 months later, I finally got around to it this weekend, lol. My painting leaves quite a bit to be desired, but at a minimum there is now paint on the metal, so I suppose that's an improvement. I'll be interested to see if adding the 4 bolts to the top of the frame rails makes my tire mount noticeably stiffer.

hey, better late than never ;)

Finally figured out how to be productive during those boring Skype sessions. Do yoga, pushups, situps, and enhance the portable welding solution by adding a PWM controller.

Got it ready to come out. Just can't get the lower shock mounts to let loose. Been fighting with them for about an hour now. If I don't get them pretty soon I am just going to put the damn thing back together. :bang:

I got the bolts out fine, just can't get the shock off of the mount. Right now I am about ready to try a lot of heat. 5 gallons of gas and a match.

I will watch for flames on the mountain!!!🔥

Someone's getting a new set of rear shocks :bounce:. Wait, I thought you have AHC but those spring perches look like coil springs perches.

I just happen to have a set of 4"Slee springs for sale, which might net you less than three since you got a lot of junk in your trunk

Nope. No new shocks for me. I get to replace the bushing and lucky for me I have one. I do have AHC. It has coil springs. The shocks are hydraulic rams. I am going to put the 80 series springs in that I got from Joseph.

I got the rest of the old bushing out of the shock and have the new one in the freezer. I will install it in an hour or so.

Was that a fat joke?
