Hey Arya, just saw this post and wanted to drop a note. You were one of the first mudders I met back in 2006 when I stopped by and picked up that roof rack at your campus. Glad to see you are still going strong. I still have my red 60 series, except for I finally got my spring over done, 4:88s in, 5 speed tranny and newly built 2F waiting to go in. Hope all is well. Hit me up as I regularly pass through Va.

Tough crowd. Got the brake lines done....what a bitch. Working on the fuel lines now and finishing up the fan wiring. Got a cool fan insert made and powder coated that allows use of the big Spal fan recessed into the 62 shroud. I will get pics posted up when I get a chance. Did buy a RZR, but cant stop working on the 62.

Why did you choose to use a single fan with an insert instead of the dual Contour fans as you did with your 502 install?
 
I found that the combo of buying a used Contour fan that has proven to be unreliable, plus the super huge current draw on startup causing for a huge relay to be used, far outweighed the higher cost of the brand new high-po Spal fan. Plus, I ran this Spal fan on my 110 and am running it on my 45 with 0 cooling issues. I use a voltage controller for the fan so it runs at different speeds as needed. The contour fans were too difficult to control that way. I kind of like the 60 series shroud also, it allows for lower radiator hose clearance and keeps the AC dryer in the stock location with no modifications.

just to be clear .. that's the factory shroud or you make it custom .. it's looks so sweet anyhow ..

Did you would like to share items used in the fan install .. fan model and controller .?
