Before Chicago's thread?

psh Mace's thread "project bob" would have been moved before either of those. lol

So yea... Pictures of stuff and ya know things. Or maybe some of a good looking lady friend of yours, that should suffice to I would think.

what are you going to do to coat the frame?

Aren't modern car bodies and frames dipped in primer? Not sure why I was thinking that, but something like that would seem ideal. That seems to be the weak point on any body welding I've done....total saturation would have sealed better. Damn water gets in everything and before you know it you have a little rust weep from every crack. No matter how thoroughly we sprayed the paint, there were just spots we couldn't get good coverage. Frustrating would be an understatement.

Unfortunately yours was done in Salt Lake City. Its a long drive just for galvanizing. Can't justify it.

My truck was built in CO. I didn't know they sent the frame to SLC, that's kind of far even for them...

Proffitts has been bought by Greg Miller of Miller motorsports among other things. So now they are in SLC and Colorado. Best of both worlds.

Yes I know that, it happened during the middle of my build and delayed it by at least six months, among other problems it caused. It happened after my frame was blasted and galvanized, which I had assumed was done local to the Colorado shop, which is where my truck was built. I would say worst of both worlds actually, but this is not the time nor place for that discussion. Sorry, Waggoner. Back to

Whats next up gary?

Besides frame coating /painting..

Adding factory flares, wiring it all up and wheels and tires. Im going to drive it this was for a while and figure out which way I am going to go with it. Went to the Miami Boat show so I fell back some on work. I will be getting caught up this week.

Gary,
If not the round up maybe Cruise Moab? I'll have mine down at CM. We can compare the beauty with the beast. Last night I finished mocking up a custom gas tank for it out of cardboard. If all goes well it should be about 25 gallons and sit right between the frame rails tucked up in close to the body. I could have probably made it about 30 gallons but I needed to save some room for the exhaust. I'm burning every muscle and bone in my body to get it done in time. I'm guessing that it won't be painted by then but it should be fully functional minus the AC even if I have to install the radio while I'm driving down the interstate on my way to CM.
