Thanks!

I don’t know how they came stock. Great question. I’d assume a metal flooring of some sort.

I had a confer rack I put on my 80 that didn’t have the metal flooring either. I used new 1x6 cedar fencing planks cut down, sanded a little and sealed. Looked and worked good.

Not sure if it was a certain year thing or option for with or without mesh floor.

send me a snail mail addy.......how many ya need?
This is what my decals look like, the circle is 3”

Nice.
You’ve sold me on the idea. Slap some spar urethane on there and bam.

Looks like some rough cut stuff, anything special?
I have a sawmill at my place in NM, always looking out for fun stuff to mill.

What is your plan for the ends?

Yessir.

It's just pretreated rough cedar. I may run another strip on the lower side of the ends to keep them from bowing. Still got some work to do.

Been busy. I had planned to take Pikachu to Utah last week, but 18" of snow the day before departure meant mag chloride on the roads.

Took the ole 80 last minute and led a trip through the San Rafael Swell.

The more I reflect on this trip, the more I realize how much I enjoyed exploring this particular area. In fact, I'm a bit spellbound.

Great company, great escape from work. Land Cruiser and two Rubicons.

I’ve been thinking about Memorial Day a lot today. I grew up living a few minutes down the road from my Grandparents as a kid in Mississippi and they were second parents to me.

My Grandfather fought in the Pacific in World War Two and spent many hours behind the wheel of army Jeeps. He wore out two of them in the War.

Ernest H. Boswell taught me so much about so many things. He passed in November of 2000 and I still think about him all the time. Would give anything to spend an hour or two with him today.

This pic is from circa 1994/1995. He was helping me troubleshoot who knows what on my clapped out 1946 Jeep CJ-2A.

Thank you to those who have fought for this great country.

Excellent reminder. My grandfather was the quintessential man in my life.

I am sure others can relate as well. But, if that Jeep was red I would have said you took it from my scrapbook. My grandfather was stationed in Guam in WW2 and now our daughter just got stationed there. I don't remember where he got the military CJ-2A but, it was the first vehicle I learned to drive. Thanks for sharing. Really hit home. Have a great Memorial Day.
