Thanks Matt!!! No more pics for now gotta head to VA for the weekend but I will be back at it next week

JP,
I have a spare set of course spline rear axle shafts in the garage. Once every 6 months Linda asks what they are and why I still have them. I explain... 6 months later she asks again. She asked last week so I have 5 months and 3 weeks to get rid of them one way or the other. Yours for the taking if you want them.

Thanks alot for the offer Steen but those axles won't work for me; my 40 has the carry over centered rear axle from the 25 series. Now Chuck might need them and he never turns down free parts :hillbilly:

Thanks again!!

I didn't say they were free for Chuck... :D

But they are.

Note that in the photos, JP is wearing shoes..????:hhmm:

Nice work, JP. (On the garage and the 40.)

Yeah, he get's married and graduates and all of a sudden he get's all high and mighty on us.

JP, your legend is shrinking, what with this whole shoe, garage, roll-cage, windshield thing. I have to say, I'm disappointed.

But the 40 is looking good :hillbilly:

I wasn't to dissappointed in his work Marshall if you had seen his yard out the back of the framing you'd know he's the same old JP. Like where he ran over a bunch of trees with the bobcat he had a while back, or the piles of parts under various trees.

Hey theres no problem with parts/oil/tires/cruisers or anything else under trees. Just ask my wife. :)

Got some quality time in this afternoon on the 40 pretty much wrapped up the rear sill and quater panel patches...... or atleast have done as much as I can until I pull the whole body off and can reach the underside. Luckily this was the only rear rust issue on the whole cruiser so I hope the hard part body wise in behind me :D

nice and straight :grinpimp:

Okay guys I am trying to decide which color to go with on Project Old Skool..... I have attached pics below of the two period correct factory colors I am considering. I am leaning currently towards the Greenish Gray color but am also considering the red. This obviously will be a softop cruiser and the top is one of Eshans kaki models....... with that said what do you guys think??

Also; since I am going to be converting over to a 4speed I am going to be in need of a 4spd bell housing, drive shafts, clutch, cluth fork, and thow out bearing. I'd love to pick these up locally since I am trying to be as cheap as possible on this build and shipping can add up quickly on these heavy old cruiser parts

and on a side note the :princess: hates the green color :grinpimp:

Slap a big "G" on the side of a red one and you'd have a beaut!

That said, if it was me, I'd go with the green.

Ha Ha......... hey red might not be a bad color this year if the pundits are right about the dogs

I do the like the red but I have done free born red on my '77, so I am looking for a change....

........ but then again it worked for these fellas :grinpimp:
