P0155, I would check to make sure you are even getting power and ground to the O2. I small resistance change from wires isn't going to cause that error. It thinks that the O2 sensors isn't even hooked up.

I dont know how sensitive the ecu is. I've run universal sensors on alot of cars in the past. I have several OEM toyota sensors right now. The original FJ's. 1 off a 2gn 4runner and one off a Camary. What do you think ? Assuming I have power ?

sensitive to the O2 signal yes, sensitive to the heater? No, lots of fudge room there. Pretty much means you are probably not getting power.

The rear O2 sensors get power from a different location, and actually have a relay of their own, at least on mine. But I don't know if it is the front or rear it is complaining about. I would have to look more into the code, but I am lazy right now and don't want to.:p

Sensitive to being dropped and jostled maybe, the element can break easily, but more so, if they're not in the specific space they need to be in the pipe the heat element goes into overdrive and can prematurely die just trying to do it's job in reading the gasses and getting the sensor up to temp and getting the engine up to optimal operating temp.

Checked them with the meter to see if one or both are "lazy" like my rear one was? They should cycle in voltage at least every 3-4 seconds at twice idle speed (IE: 4Runner w/ a 3VZE idles @ 850, check around 2500 rpm). Then look into whether or not they're getting enough hot exhaust or are possibly too far downstream.

That last step is always the b*tch one because you then have to have the type of vehicle the stuff came from to use a thermal gun to measure the pipe's heat reading.

I'm still working on finishing up the interior. I picked up a $5 camera from fleebay for use as a rearview camera on my navi deck. Im not using the ECT button anymore so instead of hooking the rearview camera to the reverse lockout in the radio, I hooked it to the ECT button.
It already has a light on the dash that says PWR. Pretty sweet. Took about 30 seconds chose and to tap into the wire.

Cheap camera. Ill fab a mount off the rear diffuser to look down off the roof.

Regular map or audio/video feed in the off position

Then in the on position - voila

And if the image on the screen wasnt enough to remind you that there would be an image on the screen, there is also a green light on the dash yelling at you as well.

Nice build i want to see this thing running. Lets get it out wheeling.

A few posts back I mentioned that the axle was hitting the oil pan. Here's a look at the self clearancing that occured.

Obviously a liability, I started looking for a pan that fit. Meanwhile I wanted to get off pavement and needed to do something right away so heres a few photos of the oil pan I built from scratch.
I either want to find a newer 4.7 landcruiser or LX470 pan that fits or I want to either rebuild this one in it's entirety with a mounting flange thats laser cut, or find a LC sub pan.

I really only needed to modify the stock pan in one area.

The trusty cutoff wheel to the rescue

At this point I would have probably been fine

But I was worried about losing capacity, but whats done is done so...I hacked the rest of the pan off and did a super ghetto mockup with cardboard

Once the mockup was complete I used it as a template

I no longer own a tig, so this mounting flange was doomed to get warped to he11 with the mig even on the lowest setting, and going as slow as possible to not introduce too much heat.

I reused the stock drainplug and mounting flange. With spot welds

Its not pretty, but it did the trick in a pinch. I was up till 2am friday night getting it ready to hit the trails at 7am saturday !

DSC09573.jpg

You can see here after the trip, I have a small drip coming from the drain plug because I reused the washer, not having a new one at 2am and all

you are crazy.

I am up in mill creek not to far Tor. I finally got my spacers I need to test them out.

Like the oil pan does it hold the same amount of oil?

This is a nice install. Looks very clean. Wish I had it.

We just got back from some wheeling were he put this thing through its paces. Solid cruiser with that engine.
