Starter arrived today. It cleaned up good. Teeth look ok.

Edit: Found an NOS solenoid but not sure if it will work.

The NOS clear bib lenses I found from a seller in Thailand arrived. In addition to the noted Koito font differences, they say "Japan" instead of our "Made in Japan" lenses. In the 40 series tools, this would be a big clue as to date. Don't know if that applies here. It may just be a country-market thing.

Also in the picture, an NOS 30 AMP Pacifica fuse. It seems that while early glass fuses where color coded, the color code for 30 amps was..... no color at all.

[Edit: Found a @LITP observation from 2010 that clear reproductions were being made from the wrong a molds. I think what I managed to find where some fine old stock reproductions. Very clear. High quality. Very much like the later orange ones. I almost wonder if Koito didn't make a late run of them. I concede: @Archie 1962 FJ25 is the bib lens king.]

Got some real nicely chromed door pulls from Craig Moon in Oz, in a style matching my '68 and '71 rigs. Good price too. However I notice Miss Kitty's were heavier (44g vs 38g) and rounder. Ignorance was bliss, and now I'm pondering locating this earlier style bling, or plating hers. Pictured are the two variations, the earlier one on the right.

These are all the same.

John,
Indeed they are. Miss Kitty was a Jan. 1964 build, I'll bet she matches earlier rigs.

Found a '67 3 speed transmission (column shift), transfer case, and parking brake assembly in Utah. Not much coin. A friend picked it up for me today, here it is in his truck. A little project to restore and keep for a rainy day.

It's also an excuse for a little road trip to get out of the soggy Pacific NW and see some sunshine in the Spring.

I am no King. I used to travel to Japan for my work and happen to found a contact who was holding on to some early Japanese parts. Just got lucky in finding NOS pair along with some other gems. Most notable find for me was NOS FJ25 transmission to hump rubber seal/boot. (Square one). I will post a picture of it for all of us to drool over in my build thread.

Made a trip to Seattle and visited the
world's cutest grandson. An added bonus, picked up this door from @red66toy (or was it the other way around?).
It cleaned up nice. Has a bit of wow to straighten, shouldn't be a problem. Thanks Chase!
The door was actually my B-day present from my :princess:

Mutually incompatible. But if your install of a PTO is delayed, you can rationalize collecting more stuff. Ultimately, I'll have to choose.

@pardion was the picture of that HHH lock you posted from an actual 25 or 40? @Archie 1962 FJ25, I'm wondering the same thing you are. Was the Land Cruiser lock 30mm or 35mm? 'Cause I came across this peach in its original vinyl pouch and it would be nice to know for certain. Reverse side is unstamped. Pouch might be more unobtanium than the lock 🙂.

Thanks. Good to hear it from someone who took it directly from a vehicle. I posted the pics in the Unobtanium thread and asked the same question to everyone out there. Will let everyone know that yours was a 30mm. Thanks again.
