Wondering if anyone has had this problem.
Hub lock light blinks on and off, but hub lock button is not engauged, Have heard of others that have had this happen to them. Any idea's any one.

No, this not my Prado or because of any type of hub conversion.
A couple of owners have asked me if I know the answer to this problem.

This problm was there before any hub conversions were ever fitted , maybe could it be a faulty ecu for the hubs.

i have not seen this particular problem on any land cruiser, guessing it might have been the hub sensor...

Old thread... But mine blinks now that I have put AVM hubs on and I can't get into 4x

Just a thought, there is an ECU Box for the hubs, it is behind the speedo, above the steering column. pull the plug out and see if that fixs the problem.

So. I pulled the plug from what looked like a small ecu. No lights on the dash anymore but parked I could get it to go into 4x4. Haven't had a chance to drive it yet. So the question begs, if it works, do I need the ecu?

From my understanding that the ECU stops the engagement of the electric hubs above 5 mph, there is a link connection with the speedo. You may still need to push the 4WD Switch.

Thanks so much for that. I think that's solved my problem. I might pull the ecu and see if the capacitors are leaking. But I have 4x again. I'd love to send you my e hubs to be converted to manuals. Can I pm you?
