Power Steering

Groaning/whining coming from the PS somewhere. The reservoir is in between min & max. The old girl has 195,000 mile on her and I doubt the PS fluid has ever been changed. I bought her with 25,000 on the odo.

Change the PS fluid and see if that does the trick?

Yes and purge the system of air by cycling the steering back and forth. Somewhere on here someone outlines a procedure. IIRC, jack up the front and turn from full lock right to full lock left 15-20 times. Then start the truck and do the same. You may want to search it out first.

Power Steering takes ATF IIRC. Pretty sure I used Amsoil Universal synthetic ATF.
