Here is a non-heat sink set up. Opted for a Hayden cooler. Hayden 676 from S. Korea.

Set up using a OEM D3 oil filter up-stream from the cooler. This is for an armored vehicle with other GVM upgrades.

Cooler mounted:

Aux filter set up. Green arrows indicate fluid flow direction. Filter housing made by Derale. OEM D3 filter in use. Not only does this filter the fluid, it also provides extra volume to the system. Very important for keeping the system cool.

I am looking to add a cooler to my power steering, I have a spare stock 80 series trans cooler. Any reason repurposing the stock trans cooler into a power steering cooler and mounting it on the opposite side of the trans cooler wouldn’t work? Is it too big of a cooler? Would it block too much air from the radiator?
