Oops, I must be the only one with this issue. Compliments of GSMTR 05 and has since been taken care of with some slight interior pounding and rattle-can...
And damage multipliers removed...

Impossible to see I guess, but I have 2 near key-like scratches on the upper tailgate hatch. Happened a few years ago, and I suspect some kid with a backpack loaded with zippers slide his way along the rear. Anyway they have the slightest rust undertone .. fawkers.

Rust rust rust!! Mine suffer the worse I think...found some bubbles right at the rocker panel right below the rear door and the wheel well. But I dun have rust at the usual spot at the tail gate. thought is is just surface rust, the more I dig into it, it actually rusted through the rocker panel. Found out that the body sealant Between those panel is not perfect in the wheelwell and I imagine all the salty water gets through the gap and rust from the inside instead form the outside. The truck originally from PA. I am in the process of cutting out all the rusted panel and replace and weld in some good panel form an used LC, gonna sandblast the surrounding area and spray zero rust or POR15 on it. I have cut out 3'x3' of bad panel so far, wil post a pic later showing how mess up it is, gonna keep it and restore it and wheel the hell out of it and get another one later...may be a nice GX or LX470:D

roof rack (repaired) some bolt heads, exhaust, some bare iron on parts fo the block, a spot where the damaged fender flare rubbed through the paint (repaired), a few spots on the hitch, and that is basically it, a rust free vehicle was at the top of my chriteria when searching.

Had the two 'usual' rust spots omn the bottom of the top hatch. As usual, didn't look too bad from the outside, but was quite bad when the gasket was pulled. Large portions of the pinch weld were rusted very badly. I ended up replacing the hatch at great expense!

I still have the old hatch as a reminder - I'd post pics if I could figure out how!

Cheers, Hugh

Mine's rusting right here:

Oh, wait. There isn't any. :flipoff2:

Nada...few bolt heads look like pooh but no cancer....

I have a spot on the rear hatch, left of center on my 96 80. BTW this rig has spent it's entire life in the NE-nothing but salt in the winter months.

power steering cooler rusted on mine...IH8salt

The only rust on my 96 LX is on the hi-lift jack where the paint gets scratched off.

The truck spent most of its life in AZ and UT, and it is dry and garaged here in Eastern WA.
