Gauge panel I made for my rusty BJ60. Worked well, easy to read and in view. The VDOs are a decent match to the stock cluster IMO. Had the gauges turned so that at a glance vertical in the sweep was near max, and anything past needed a closer look.

Thinking I might switch to a pillar pod this time around, not sure yet :meh:.

Have an hj61 and noticed that the two middle vents In the dash really don't do to much blowing

Any one every utilized those two areas for gauges? They look like they would fit? Sorry if I missed some ones handy work.

I modified a couple of the outlets in a 62 series dash and the vdo gauges fit in there like a glove. Basically I just cut the fins of the directional unit in there and stuffed the gauge in. This idea I may still utilize but I haven't tested it in production yet. They swivel and everything and I haven't used dash heat in over a decade so I won't miss the vents. I would block the ducts prior to putting guages in though.

I'll take a pic later.

The link has options for fords, Chevys and dodge rams.

Would be interested in the function of the gauge, as it is cheap when compared to the EGT and boost VDO units I am looking at

The options are for gauge pods, the gauge itself should be universal.;)

Does anyone have pics of Auber Instruments displays in an 80 series? Also, what are the 3 blanks along the top of an 80 series dash for?

If you want to cut switches into them.
problem is I have only seen toyota switches like that.

Any idea what switches Toyota ever put in those slots, maybe in other markets? I've never seen pics of dashes with OEM switches in that location.

Not sure, but the left-most 2 aren't blanks like the others - the covers aren't removeable.

Maybe I'm the unlucky one. But, out of five Glowshift gauges I bought two years ago only two are still working. Both are mechanical, EGT and boost.

The first to go was the fuel pressure gauge reading way off. I replaced the sender and it worked for a while, then went out again. Maybe another sender would fix it, but if I'm going to have to replace the sender every year I'm done with that gauge.

The next was the tranny fluid temp reading way off. Maybe a new sender would fix it, but with my experience with the fuel pressure gauge I haven't done anything.

The third was the coolant temp. The needle started swinging violently from stop to stop, so I disconnected the wiring from the sender. No change, so apparently the gauge is bad.

I'm also having problems with one of the gauges loosing one, or more, of the colored lights from time to time, and then later coming back.

From my experience, stay away from Glowshift. All my problems started after their warranty was over.

cut with small dremel, drill four corners (match profile of gauge).

the gauges have little wedge clips, and are extremely solid once in place.

Caution - don't sink the drill bit
- use gasket to measure and lay it out, and be sure to look behind to
make sure they will fit.
- about 1.5mm collar on gauge, so be very precise
