I have a few, but this is my favorite. Bontrager CX, built in Santa Cruz. Bontrager made stem. I think Steelman provided the fork for the frame kit. Added a mix of XT and Ultegra with Ritchey canti brakes and after the green Michelin Jets wore out, I switched to Schwalbe knobs.
I put the drop bars back on after several years of using a Klein 1" quill Mission Control 1 piece flat bar. The drops give me a few different hand positions but I cut the ends back 2 inches cause of the bar end shifters.

NOT QUITE READY FOR PRIME TIME....
But I'm getting there.

Nice. Brazing is fun. Downtube shifters and rack lugs. Is it going to be a touring setup?
I have a 15 year old set of Reynolds 853 tubes I have yet to do anything with. Now I have the 80, so no chance of getting a tig welder. All the allowance funds go into the truck.

Well I've had a few over the years mnt bike and road... My last road bike was an older trek, sold it about 5 years ago, now I'm riding a k2 full suspension with disc brakes, and I'm looking to get a mother road bike either a Scott or felt?

My Ex Girlfriend

This was my bike from last riding season. I miss her sometimes. 2008 Jamis Dragon 29er. XO Components. Manitou Fork.

This is the bike I ride for fun. I bought it new for $100 a couple of years ago, I've put $500-600 into it since then. The tiki torches on the handlebars were for the fourth of July parade, the small flame behind the seat is a tiki torch I run all the time. My winter project is to rig up a brake lever so I can shoot a large flame of started fluid out the back when I want.

My Parlee

This is my current baby: I nickname it Doom. 2012 Parlee SLi2. Full di2, Enve stem/bars/seatpost, Wheelbuilder built 303s on newest Powertap hubs. Size large/large---comes in at just about 14lbs. Best bike I've ever owned in terms of handling & quickness, but sometimes I wish the geometry was a bit more laid back as I've gotten bucked off twice when I hit potholes/bumps with hands off the bars/not paying attention.

Also have a Moots YBB mountain bike & a Holland S&S coupler travel bike. They don't get ridden much, but the Holland comes with me on most 4+ day business trips & is alot of fun.

look ma, no gear cables

Alex that's a nice looking Schwinn.

I have a 1984 Mercian and a 2011 Motobecane Fantom Trail. Last month a bought another Motobecane, a cyclocross bike. Haven't been on it yet...

Thanks man :)

Nice bikes there as well. I remember seeing the Motobecane in the back of your 40 somewhere. Either C&C or a meeting.

Can you make it to the meeting on the 10th? Check out the local forum for more info. We're gonna meet on a weekday to see if that works better. PM me if ya need to

Thanks Alex I'll look up the info on the meet up. The Mercian is hands down the best bike I've ever had. The hand built steel frame is a work of art. The handling is race grade, just awesome. Quick as hell, but forgiving. And fast... It has a full Campy Nuovo Record Group. 52/42 chainring, Seven gears on the wheel, 21/11. The shifting, with down tube shifters, is as crisp and precise as any STI setup I've had, and it's completely silent, nice on long rides. The high gear, at 52/11, is close to the Tour de France guys, they are running 53/11. They average 25.8 mph this tour, the most I've done is 20 mph.... It's more bike than my legs will ever have the potential for. It deserves a better rider than me.:crybaby:

The only frustration I have with it is I can't climb grades very well, again, it's the gearing, lowest is 42/21, and my legs. Oh Well...:bang:

Scantane 560 road bike with 105's. Schwinn coffee fixed speed
