I own, but dont' ride anymore a Fisher Super Caliber. It is the stiffest bike I've ever ridden. I gave up on the bike as it pounded me incessantly and caused me to have a few very hard crashes.
I'm talking crashes where I thought for sure, my next rig would be a wheel chair!
I'm assuming you're asking about the Zaskar 9r Pro I posted in another thread? It just didn't fit and ride as well as the D660. I sold the Backwoods because the medium frame was a bit too small for me now. I guess I grew in my 30's.

Thats kind of funny because the GT 9r pro is more expensive and has "better" components. It all comes down to fit. And I will say that the Redline is much better looking IMO. The 1x9 setup is cool too!
Those chain stays are short! I love the seat tube having a big chunk out of it. Very aggressive looking. Did you guys use the Alfine? It's a very cool idea. You do some amazing work

Thanks, and yes we put the "I cant believe its not butter" Alfine hub on it and it great for this bike. the hub is supper smooth and Nija quiet. the seat tube is a squish not a cut.... it does well for the slammed wheel.
I'll try to remember to snap a pic of my redline and post it up... i've referenced it several times in this thread, but never taken a picture of it to post.

I've been ridiing with a fellow who has his redline 29er set up with a 1X8. He can surely loft the front over some big rocks and logs and can really mash up hill. The down side is without the big chain ring, he can't really keep up on the flats or down hill legs.

my first one was 1x8, the "new" (now 2 yr old one) is a single. I'd need a yamaha to keep up with most of the guys I wind up riding with anyway, so the lack of a big ring doesn't bother me that much and gravity tends to get my big ass going faster than I care to on the down hills!
