Post Line-x/bedliner body pics please.

Took the plunge and booked an appointment with Mr. line-X. I have pretty much mapped-out exactly where I want the spray to cover, but I'd like to double check with some of your rigs to see what's going to look the best.

After trying a few different shapes, I'm going to stick with the factory flare shape, but I think I'll start the rest of the coverage about an inch above the body side molding. I also want to spray the front bumper and the sheet-metal under the headlights and grill, since that piece is mucho rock pitted. That piece is the roughly the same height as the body side molding, so I think it'll look pretty good.

I'm not sure who's this is, but this is basically what I have in mind, with about 1" more above the existing line.

Was one gallon of duplicolor enough to do all of that? How did you apply? Brush or roller or spray?

I thought about the DIY stuff but I wanted to make sure it was even and good-looking from front to back (yours looks great, but I don't trust myself to that level).

I'm actually getting a Line-X type coating that's UV and rubberised, and about 5/8" thick. Should be interesting.

i plan on adding to my allready covered front fenders and flare line, and do what Beno has done by covering 95% of the entire side of the rig. I'm going to run it down the line on the doors right at the door handle, slightly above, all the way back. Going through tight woods in the east almost demands it unless you want pin striping.

Ya the one gallon thing and it was more than enough to do two coats on both sides. I bet it would do up to 5. I used the roller they provided. Its right next to the gallon of it at auto zone. They have the gallon for like 45$ and the kit for like 15$. Comes with a roller, scotch brite pad, some cheap plastic roller tray (highly suggest using a tin one from home depot) And I think thats it. But ya, I like how it looks as well.

I have Dark Grey Durabak being shipped to my door this week and this weekend it hit's the body. I am basically going to follow my current two tone line that is similar to what you are looking to do. I don't think I am going to hit that piece under the headlights because there is no clean line into the fender. Although I need to do that piece and the front of my hood thanks to the bug deflecter rubbing away the paint on the hood.

it's definitely a smoother transition on a body with no flares, as that front "accent" isn't as pronounced. Plus my truck is a dark colour, making the detail even less visible.

different hood line, and on the rear hatch I kept the same height all the way across, not the bottom of the tail lights.

Yeah, that hood line would just look hideous on my Desert Dune!
And as for the rear tail gate, I figure I am sure to get a straight line by following the current two tone and plus that line worked for MT. T so it works for Me.

OK, so you went a tad higher than I plan to on the sides. Mine will stop just before the second groove on the door. But you did the tail gate the same as I did.

The trucks look great, any thoughts on which liner is the most durable and whether rolling it on changes the durability vs having Line-X sprayed on? I'm getting ready to tackle mine.
