No temp on the right hand side and dashes on the left? Where the calculations would be? You don't specify exactly. But it will be the green wire going down into a47 or the two long ones to the instrument panel.

Thank, and I was lucky that the installer was very familiar with Toyota electronics. He had pulled apart a number of Toyota and Lexus’ audio systems to do various upgrades over the years. He was really excited about the challenge of this project and I also directed him to this thread and to some install photos that Jerry sent which he said were helpful. And thanks for the insight on MPG/Range computer and outside temp gauge. I’ll bet he will get it figured out.

Jerry- dashes on both the right and left side of the clock. I assume temp is on the right and mpg is on the left above the mode/reset buttons?

Then all wires are loose, or in the wrong place maybe. Of course there could be something else going on. Panel not all the way seated.

I had a similar issues and it was the gauge cluster not being tightened all the way. After I screwed it in further the computer information began displaying properly. Jerry is a brilliant guy. Thanks again.

Plug and play thanks to Jerry. Just need to tap into the other wires behind the cluster and add the pin to the other harness.

Could not be happier with the stock screen gone.

My installer is stumped with the upper gauge cluster. Can anyone direct me to photos or directions to help get the mpg/range and temp gauge working? Thanks in advance.

Nick

The two wires go behind the connector, you splice them I in where the picture shows. The green wire with the terminal goes in a47 position 1.there are many picks. You should have three pics I emailed. That should show everything needed.

At the end of the pink it continues on to Green with the terminal at the end. That's the Toyota wire that's costs the extra money

ok, i now understand that the green wire goes to A47, position 1. I just dont see what you are referring to in the photos you sent me to get the other wires spliced.

You should have two long wires on the harness you bought from Jerry and one shorter one with a pin on the end. The one with the pin installed gets placed into the harness in the heater control.

The two long wires get spliced near the harness behind the gauges.

When splicing the wires behind the dash, the actual wires themselves have the position numbers written on them. That's a good way to double check that you counted the correct pin locations in the connector.
