I am in the process of changing out my tie rod ends. I have a 3.5" lift and notice that the steering arms(no sure what they are called) that the tie rod ends attach to look as though you could flip them and switch side to obtain a poor mans high steer set up.. Please, comment because when it comes to the front end I am more then a little fearful. I imagine the link arm would have to sit on top because the holes are tapered. I am sure this is as clear as mud, hopefully you fellas get what I am saying.

thanks

I cut them, switched sides, and re-welded them... Its strictly an off-road rig at this points, but its worked awesome...

flame away...

quick and dirty is how some of the best innovations start. Then there's the other half concerned about safety and such. I'm somewhere in the middle.

If I ever decide to get my junk on the rd. again, I will buy nice High-Steer. Until then, I will wheel the shiz out of the truck and not worry...

You could drill out the hole and machine an insert that matched the taper but from the top instead of the bottom.
