OME leaf springs poor quality paint?

I've had my OME medium lift since Feb - brand new kit. It's only been in CA, so very dry. Noticing there's already the start of surface rust. Are they just doing a terrible job with the paint on these things? I can just spray them with rust reformer... but disappointing tbh. Anyone else have this same experience?

they'll never rust out if you live in CA.

Mind did the same thing even more than 15 years ago. I just hit them with a can of flat black krylon once a year when I crawl under.

Who cares about surface rust on their leaf springs?

I don't really care about the look .... But surface rust is rust , I guess that's just a starting point

this will solve all your concerns.

The real issue is that the EPA outlawed all the really “good” paints. Something about the Ozone layer…..

Yup. I didn’t install them, a shop in Utah did. Sheesh.
