Plasti Dip

I've heard that its best to do before mounting but IMHO I feel as though it will just tear up the plastidip.

If I could go back and change something, I would take the rim and tire off the hub and lay it on a flat surface to spray them.

I did it with a plastic bag covering the rotors but it was still a pain dealing with some runoff from the plastidip

Maybe I have my terms mixed up though... mounting is putting the tire on the rim right?? :p

check post #3 in my thread to see the outcome of having the tire "mounted" lol

Yes correct mounting the tire on the wheel. Thanks for the pics.

Thinking about doing an entire car in it. Should I be worried about it coming off with rain at 75 mph?

I did my emblems and my gold antenna tip an they survived the most recent SoCal rains. Not that SoCal has crazy rains or anything

Kelly, there's a guy on tundratalk that had a professional shop do his tundra in blue streak I believe. Let me know if you would like me to find the thread...

To the OP, another guy used a deck of playing cards around the wheel to help with overspray. Just an idea for ya...
