Looks like those trails may still be there in Victor. I don’t know if they graded them, used to be actual 4wd low trails.
I haven’t been up in a year or two. It’s not really that tough. We go up it in 2wd as long as it’s dry. One friend may have done it in a Subaru GL and a 2wd F250 in a late night fiesta. There’s one steep climb with a deep rut to straddle, but really it’s not too bad.
Upside is the views. You get a great vista looking across the valley at the Big Hole Mountains. If you are willing to except some pinstriping from the brush, you can drive up to the wilderness boundary. This gets you some lovely views of the southern Teton Range. Downside is the snow may or not be blocking the upper trail in your time frame.

PP25 attendees: I will be giving out 4 Wheel Drive embroidered pig hats at this year’s party. I only made 15 of them so one for each truck that attends.

That is sweet! Nice DavešŸ‘šŸ¼šŸ‘šŸ¼
Thanks! They came out pretty good. I had thoughts of a more elaborate design and doing both black for the early pigs and orange for the later pigs but then had to get realistic for cost.

Forgot i had a bone stock rig i’d just bought, fixed brakes, the truck ran flawlessly. Because of Ca smog i sold to a guy in South Carolina, still get pics from him with his boy in truck
I was wondering who that was for a second. Know every other Pig there, but didn’t recognize that one.
Was thinking, ā€œMusta been some newb.ā€

Appreciate the shout out. That was one of my favorite Pig Parties, along with the first at Rico, the North Rim and Rio de los Pinos. Absolute best part of 16 years of Pig ownership was the people it brought into our lives.
I do recall being impressed on the Magruder Trail that your bone stock Pig on 235x75/15s was doing everything the rest of us in built rigs were doing on those fire lookout trails, etc. That and Scraps resorting to Coors Light!
Happy Trails...you'll enjoy the Star Valley and the "tri cites" of Thayne, Grover and Smoot. Been through there many times. Too bad the cheese factory in Thayne shut down...that was a must stop back in the day.
Washed the winter dust off the old Porsche the other day, filled it up and took Bonnie for a ride. Goal is to drive it more than the 500 or so miles put on it annually the last few years.

As I recall, you and Leslie were going to skip the Pig Party that year in favor of doing Magruder. Then a bunch of interlopers showed up, camped in your back 40 and joined you. So much for your "date night." Did enjoy sitting at your bar and sampling your bourbon stash.
