I'm looking for any pics of stock sized tires with a lift. I looked around but didn't find any decent pics.

Long story short, I bought a whole set of (expensive) skins before I could put on a lift.

Our old dog had such trouble getting in the car we didn't want to make it harder. Shortly after I bought these new tires she passed. Now I'd like to put a lift on, but I don't want it to look like crap. I'm thinking 2" wouldn't be too terrible.

Any other workaround suggestions are also welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I ran 265/75r16 tires for several years before getting 315's. These are a touch taller and narrower than the stock 275/70r16, but pretty close. Looked a little goofy, but not too bad. This was a mix'n'match OME lift. It was like 1.5" in the front and 3" in the back. I have a different suspension now. Sorry, not the best photos to show the stance.

^ There you go. Much better than my pics. That's the look you'll end up with.

When we first got this rig, we weren't sure if it was a keeper of fix up & sell... OME 2.5" lift with stock 15x31. I want to run 33's, but wifey wants the speedometer to be spot-on, so it will be a future project.

loualbano, another lift kit option you might want to think about, If you install a set of "stock height" OME springs (861 fronts, 862 rears) you'll end up with 1 1/2 inch's of lift. A nice thing about installing this "mini lift" you won't need to buy and install caster correction plates, longer shocks or longer brake hoses like you would with a taller lift.

My truck has this mini lift installed. The photo below was taken when my truck had 3/4 of a tank of gas, sitting on stock 265-75-16 tires, with a 100 pound Ramsey winch mounted under the stock front bumper, plus 100 pounds of recovery gear on the roof rack. With another 75 pounds of camping gear stored under a sleeping platform mounted where the 3 RD row seats use to live, and a custom made swing out tire carrier mounted to the Passengers side stock rear bumper.

Thanks everyone for the data. The stock height / mini lift option looks compelling, but I figure if I tear it apart (again, I had it apart to do the aforementioned axles) I might as well go all in. I also already have OME shocks in front so the rest of the lift will be a bit cheaper than starting from scratch.

I guess I'll find out how much I can get for these used tires.

And yes, I do have the strongest axles on the planet:

do you guys think a 3 inch lift with 33’s would look too funny? I’m planning out currently and can’t decide if I want to get 33’s or 35’s to go with the lift. I most likely will regear to 4.88’s anyways

I did the OME 2.5” from Slee with 285’s and think it looks great. It has a good stance, but doesn’t necessarily look “lifted” to the uninitiated person on the street.
I rolled around for a short time on stock 265’s and it didn’t look that ridiculous either.

265’s w 2.5” OME
