While we are on the topic of 35x12.5x15 not being safe on stock steelies. What about 35x10.5x15? I picked up some SSRs in this size and would really like to run the stock steelies but want the truck to be safe. Going to be a light to moderage wheeler and see a decent amount of around town and highway.

10.5s won't be listed as safe on some mfrs websites, but i've never had a problem running them on a 5.5 rim. i would consider them the max tho.

White and black steelies

I like the look of the painted white and black steelies. I had started to paint mine grey but might change now. Love to see pics a White FJ40 with black rims and some more with White rims too. I am having a 33 x 10.5 BFG to make sure that I am happy with the size on Friday. Stoked to start putting the cruiser back together.
Thanks again
Tom

Resurrecting old thread as I was looking for pics for different fj40 tire and wheel options because there are so many more threads and pics of them than for the fj45.
Adding pics of my 80 on steelies as well as my new to me fj45 on the 16" split rims and the newly installed temporary Tacoma steelies.
