I see that you have a 5.0 in your cruiser.....how hard was that to swap in? How do you like it? Right now i have a 1F, and will soon be getting a 2F, but if I end up doing a V8, then the 5.0 or 5.8 would be the preferred way for me to go, since I used to drag race Mustangs and can get motors & parts pretty easily. Besides that I can wire the 5.0 EFI in my sleep.

Hey where did you get those panels (glove box door and gauge) ?

got them on ebay from a guy in arizone 100.00 hes always on there just go to fj40 and look maybe buy it now stuff

that has got to be one of the better looking gauges that i have seen.. i love the stock look with the 'modern' touch... do you have pics of your install/what gauges you used of theirs.. i know most of their stuff is for american made vehicles..

Dayum..that is one bling set of digital guages, and it looks so factory...great job. If I were to do a FI motor that used ODBII or later then I'd probably just get one of these:

All look pretty sharp, like the camo look and the retro digital!!. Went with 2 5/8 Autometers to run straight across. Just waitin on the stinking steering column

I modified my dash quite a bit to accept the factory tach and a 60 series tilt column, and this is how it came out.

Went with Flaming River Tilt with column shift and dash key, GM 4.25 .....

a little pricey but i dont care, this is probably be the last frame off FJ i'll do. Still having a blast, wish i had the time to do a build thread on here, i know you guys would enjoy it.

well, the column will be here monday.the reason for this thread is to see if anyone has come up with any better ideas since the last time i did this. this is a list of things already taken care of, most of it mocked up.

so will you be using the shift lever or do you have a floor shift? i have a Muncie 4psd so do not need the column shift. I like the looks and could see myself going that direction too..thanks for adding the link, was helpful. what else do i need to complete this swap if i were to order this??
