From picking up our Christmas tree this last December. Those are 31" mudders and it has a slight spring lift due to the full length Add-A-Leafs.

Thanks! How do you like the body lift? Did you get a kit or go the boat roller route?

I got the full body lift, urethane mount set and metric hardware from Roger Brown. He puts together a great kit. After researching the boat roller route and adding up what all I'd need for necessary hardware and urethane boat rollers, the cost came to just a hair under the Roger Brown kit, with a ton more work involved. I've run it for a little over a year and I love the setup. 1" is the most I would go, just for the sake of dialing in what, for my setup, is the ideal height for running 33" tires while allowing for decent flexibility (I've also removed my sway bars years ago) without rubbing. The only real caveat is that the ride is alot "sharper" for lack of a better way to put it. I use polygraphite bushings in my springs and with the poly body mounts, I feel every little detail in the road. I personally don't mind it, but there aren't many people who exactly enjoy riding in my truck after driving their cushy cars or SUVs :D

Greg, the AALs netted me about 2" over new stock when I first installed them. I think it was about 5 or 6 years ago. At this point they sit probably about 1.5" above new stock, and I installed them in damn near flat springs, so they've stood up to wear and tear really well.

Edit: here are a few more pics I found from when I installed the kit (with the help of Climber8483 on here, who was compensated with steak and beer)

One set installed. IIRC there were twelve in total. Six for each side on a 60/62 series

One side completed. Epic Cruiser Lean :D

Wow that looks great dude and crazy that you were able to get the much lift out of an AAL and body lift. So the bushings you used aren't very forgiving? Or is it more the combination of the bushings and the Body Lift?

Also, does Roger Brown have a website or something? Would love to take a look.

I usually hate BL, but 1" isnt really all that noticeable at all. and hopefully it would give my tires alittle more room so they quit rubbing.
great work!

Is this the website? http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/BodyLiftKit.shtml
it gives a price for land cruisers, but im not really sure what all you're getting for that price?

Yeah the bushings create alot more of a solid feel overall, which I like. The combination of poly spring and body bushings really help it feel like a solid new vehicle again and less like just some old truck with worn out rubber bushings. I'm hoping I can compensate for the stiffer, rougher ride by converting to Chevy 63" rear springs at some point in the future and moving my current rears to the front. With any luck that'll help improve overall ride comfort.

RB, yeah 4Crawler is Roger's site. His ordering setup takes some work to figure out, but once you do you're good. He knows his stuff really well and was really helpful when I was emailing him before placing my order. Definitely one of those people with a passion for doing things right.

That looks great. Thanks for the extra pictures. Is there a big gap on the front between the bumper and the body? I'm checking out the kit now, especially if it's a complete set and it's less "hacked" together.

1' Body Lift Snaps

Trying to get an idea of what this would look like. Thanks!
Here's a couple pictures from a year ago. 1" BL plus OME 2.5" med/heavy set up.

PO did the install but not sure of his reasons though likely clearance for trails. Photo 1 is at time of purchase with stock wheels and BFGs. Photo 2 is after the 16" Tundra rims went on. BL may have come before OME, but in any event, it seems a little overkill.

I pick up a fair amount of road feel through the bushings (I think) but its within reason. Note that the ARB front bumper rides high by about an inch. After the photos, I dropped it down to the lower mounting holes and now it "fits" the front end better.

Pretty sure it was a kit install - white bushings as above, nothing fancy but good quality hardware.

For my purposes, I would not do the BL but its OK as built and I don't really notice it. I have pulled a leaf at each corner since the photos and the truck has settled down a bit, still with plenty of room for winter/M&S tires at 31-33".

Hope this help.

Bumping…

Anyone have a 1” body lift and a 4x4 labs rear bumper? If so, does the bumper fit after the body lift?

It’s 2023. No more body lifts please

I can't say for sure if I'd do it again 10 years later and now that I have the OME, but I still like mine and plan to retain it once I eventually go back to rubber OEM body mount bushings (low on the priority list, but I think I'm showing my age in that I've come to appreciate less vibration and the quieter exhaust I had done up a few years back).
