UAE is the global center of fake Toyota parts. There's tremendous demand there for Toyota parts, and UAE customs has not been on the ball in catching imports of fakes.

Some people have liked the stuff they've bought from Partsouq and similar UAE-based vendors of purported Toyota parts. My personal guess (only a guess) is that the parts in question are fakes made to a decent quality standard. The market for actual Toyota parts distribution is quite tightly controlled in the UAE.

My opinion is that the Partsouq stuff is not real Toyota, but it might very well be of very similar quality.

Just because some fake parts are sourced from UAE and Partsouq is based in UAE does not make them any more/less likely to be selling counterfeit parts.

I've ordered a lot from Partsouq in the last few months. Everything has been genuine, far as I can tell. To someone else's point, they sell everything - not just a selection of what could easily be faked (filters, gaskets, other common parts). Between just a few of us on this board, we've probably ordered and closely inspected tens of thousands of dollars of Partsouq parts, none of which have been noted as seemingly fake.

I'd be extremely shocked if Partsouq made a habit of selling fake Toyota/Lexus parts.

Very True! They sell everything. Once I called and spoke to a sales person and he said he can even ship a frame to me!

In this month alone I bought suspension bushings for my 97 4runner from them on two occasions. Always OEM and never seen a fake part. Altogether, I've done about 30 transactions with them and everything I received are genuine OEM parts.

They sell parts for 100 of different makes. I seriously wonder the size of their warehouse!

Right there with you....in the last couple of years. Many, many parts for my LX470 and 80 series. IF any of them have been 'fake' then all I can say is" They were DAMN GOOD ONE'S!

How could they fake a whole front diff assy? Or a turbo? A lightbulb (probably not the best example)? A dash? Maybe the filters are fake, but I can’t believe every part is.

Any of those parts could be faked. Unless you think only Toyota has the know-how to assemble them?

Anyway, if the parts are real, I stand corrected -- and It's good news to me, because I've held off on buying from them because of fear of fakes.

I inadvertently bought way too many fakes on eBay years ago, when I thought that being in the US and having the correct packaging meant that the part was real. Once bitten twice shy, maybe misguidedly so.

I've spent $866 with PS over the past 12 months. No issues. Note that I do spread around my part purchases between domestic and Mud vendors.

Its often comical to see counterfeits injectors on eBay with an image like MADE IN THE USA. You can tell these are counterfeit from a mile away. Wrong Font. No date code in the lower right hand corner. Counterfeit injectors can be a dangerious situation. Back in 2018, I bought some counterfeits from Amazon that started melting after roughly 1,000 miles. When the injectors started to melt, fuel started leaking all over the intake manifold. It wouldn't have taken much for the whole truck to have gone up in flames.

I saw another case on here where a 2UZ owner bought some counterfeit injectors.

Why would anyone go through the incredibly high cost of design and tooling to build a knock off Toyota diff to sell like five of them? Even Toyota stops producing parts like that after a while due to lack of demand. Counterfeiters target things like injectors and oil filters because there is a large demand, and because they're easy to produce cheaply allowing for a decent profit margin. Someone making ten Toyota diffs that look close enough to the real thing to not be made out of cardboard is going to lose money doing it.

Good to see the Questions raised and the Answers given in this thread. There is considerable comfort in knowing that suppliers such as Parsouq are subject to very close scrutiny by knowledgeable IH8MUD Members around the world. In the 69 posts in this thread some fair and reasonable speculations have been raised and yet there is not even one actual confirmed example offered of a counterfeit part supplied by Partsouq being spotted, let alone evidence of systemic fraud. The reach of Partsouq into major Toyota/Lexus markets and countries also is noteworthy. One can never say never, but it does seem highly improbable that Toyota/Lexus companies and Customs agencies in any of those countries have stood by and overlooked firm evidence of systemic fraudulent misrepresentation or dumping or import duty avoidance concerning counterfeit parts (not to be confused with non-Toyota/Lexus parts labelled clearly as such), and for this to continue over a long period of time. that's the biggest problem with ebay and why I don't use it buy car parts or electronics. with the amount of members buying parts from Partsouq, I would have no issue ordering from them.

That's a picture of a rear differential for a 100 series. If you want a minimum of fifty of them, they'll give you a quote.

The only issue I've encountered with Partsouq is that they do not notify you if there is a part in your order that doesn't ship, even if you *think* you paid for it and the website said it was in stock.

When I bought stuff to replace the spindle bearing up front, I order the bearing, the insert, and the seal. I specifically bought from PS since it was OEM and way way cheaper than even my local Mr. T dealership, even with a 25% discount.

When the box arrived it was missing the bearing. I checked my order online and sure enough they didn't charge me for it and the quantity shipped for the part was 0. I would have waited until they got more in stock to ship everything at once if they had notified me it wasn't going to ship with the placed order. That was frustrating.
