I can't find any clear consensus on this here or any where in the web, pertaining a 1FZJ 80. I was hoping some one can point me to the right direction or provide some info. I would like to install/retrofit a disc type parking brake (maybe from allpro) with the tcase, if possible. I was wondering if any one has done some thing similar? I know there might be a substantial fabrication work involved, which is not an issue for me, I just wanted to get an idea of how it would look, how the disc is protected, where the caliper is mounted, how's the clearance effected by that..etc..etc. I was also wondering whether to stick to the stock parking brake, rebuild it and move on or lean moce towards a project like this. In addition, I was looking at another option, some thing like built in parking brake rear caliper. I have seen they have these type calipers for the Lincoln Navigator, Cadilac and bunch of other after market products. Also JToutfitter has a rear disc brake conversion kit for the 40 series which come with a set of built in parking brake calipers.
Anyway, Thank you for your input
