I need to thank folks for the help with this project. I've never painted before, and there was quite the learning curve. It also shows, but I think when I get to the tub I'll have things down.

Issues:
The truck was dissembled for the purpose of making some changes, fixing rust, and getting the truck cleaned up. It was originally capri blue (T310), and rattle-canned black by a PO. I have painted some of the loose bits including the hood, aprons, bib, fenders, kick vents, and the tailgates. As soon as I have $$ I'll get the doors and windshield frame sand blasted. Then I'll take in the tub.
Now some pics.

Details:
- 1969 FJ40
- The bits were sand blasted before painting.
- I used a mix of 8:2:1 of Ace paint:Lacquer thinner:5106 Hardener.
- Paint was sprayed with a Finish Line 3 gun (borrowed) using a 1.3 nozzle at first, but then a 1.5 nozzle.
- Custom color.
Issues:
- The 1.3 nozzle wasn't enough.
- First tried Mineral Spirits to thin the paint. Didn't dissolve the hardener.
- I had a hard time working the gun. I just don't get it.
- My goof-balls required a lot of sanding, mostly with 400.
