another side note. i will have extra air. enough for me in the cruiser and at least 2 extra bottles in the Ford(enough to air up minimum 4 vehicles beside myself). YOU WILL AIR DOWN!:p

I've got infinite air :flipoff2:

I would love to attend your party and adventure into the cold abyss... Even though I have ordered a set of new chains that will need to be broken in.... We have our annual Fire Department Christmas Banquet that night, and we are obliged to attend, and by the sound of things, it would be lucky to get back by Monday morning! Hopeuflly the January snow run will work into my sked so I can try the chains. Have fun, be safe.

I just might take you boys up on that. I think my bottle is low and I might not have a fill for myself.

Saturday then? I'm at 75%

How lucky is this? Hopefully the forecast holds.
weekend.webp

Anybody have a spare set of chains to borrow for 305/70/R16 so I don't slow the group down? Not sure how much I am going to invest into building the new wall yet, so I am holding out for now.

Saturday, get your butt down here!

I'm working the overnight on Fri and will be off at 7am (Sat). I've done runs post nights before, but man I get tired. I'll think about it. I may just go to Wolf Creek on Sunday and then to ABQ for Christmas.

I don't have chains but I'm enough of a jerk to show up without them!:flipoff2:

Snowed two days in a row here and still coming down as we speak. Went out yest and put myself in a launch position, slid over to put a tree directly behind me. No way to back up, only up and out. Love the winch!

I sent Ali a pic maybe he can post from his phone.

notice i said chains OR lockers. and 1 locker should do good enough. you have 2. you could be tired, but the fun will outweight it.:flipoff2:

now that i said this, is that acceptable guidelines for the group going? more than 1 locker? less?

My dos centavos:

One locker ok, better two
Chains if only one locker, though I think they should probably be required
Good tires (AT or MT), 31" or larger (33" or larger?)
Winch desirable on every truck
Recovery gear, though we share
Sliders for the tank traps
Vehicle properly fitted for recovery
CB required, Ash and I will have 2m

I talked with Mike about monitoring the Mega-Link in the afternoon in case we have trouble or need to get word out and the phones don't work.

All we need is a phone patch code and we're all set to call regular telephones using HAM.

 I guess I overlooked this comment. All the talk about chains got me thinking I need them. Maybe I can skip the house work. Not like I have a wife to yell and complain that I didn't get the wall fixed. My neighbor's wife did ask when I am going to fix it (Good thing I am not married the her). I'm a maybe.
