Should we start another thread and go to Paliza this weekend?

DONE! i'm in for Saturday. 40 is still on the trailer. i'll leave it there and be ready.:hillbilly:

Yep. I'm game. Bet we don't make it over the top.

:hhmm: do I finish the project I started at home or go and have some fun? I might be up. Just need figure out which of my guys want to work this weekend or next.

I just measured the snow in my yard and there is 10 inches. It should be fun up on Paliza.

Yup, I'm in. Please put up your tray tables, seats in the upright position, and bring your tire chains cause this is gonna be a rough ride :bounce:

Oh yeah, bring the chain saws too for downed trees.

Not as much here, but still worth a picture.

I was trying to figure out when you moved to the country until I realized that's the barn at the Heritage Farm.

I hate to be a poop, but make sure they are chained up.

And make sure both owners know they must have proper recovery points on their trucks; front and rear.

Yep, the Heritage Farm butt early this morning.

There is a lot more snow up there now which means a fun time for sure. They do need to be aware of Shawn's advice. I'll bring a chain saw. They MUST be willing to air down or they will be wasting our time.

for all that want to attend-

1. this run is not an easy sunday drive. you WILL get stuck! we have had many times when every vehicle on the run are all stuck at the same time. we will be sure that all vehicles get home one way (or one day) or another. vehicles have been left overnight and recovery made the next day.

2. experience in snow is not necessary, but very helpful. be willing to take some advice and learn if you haven't wheeled in it much. it is NOT like driving on deep snowy paved roads.

3. damage to your vehicle is possible. we try to help avoid it at all costs, but it can happen. it has happened in the past. stock vehicles have gotten through with no damage more often than not. but at least 1 vehicle (in 8 years) has had extensive damage (while another stock vehicle on the same run had none).

4. be prepared for cold weather. this means a change of clothes, socks and shoes. warm jacket and snow gear including water proof shoes/boots if possible (the snow is often hip deep). sleeping bags for subfreezing temps. food as if you were camping for 2 days (1day, overnight, and next day). (add to this list)

5. be prepared for a long day. last years run we weren't even in cell phone range until around midnight. we have been back before dark, but more often it's well after dark. tell wives that aren't coming not to get worried until the next morning. nobody will be left behind.

And last be prepared for FUN!!:bounce: i think everyone that has ever come on a tree run has had a blast. some have been a bit worried at times, but it all works out.

and CAN SOMEONE BE SURE TO BRING A CHAINSAW!:flipoff2:

YEP:
i'm thinking this is gonna be kinda a hardcore run, so be prepared. don't be scared off if you are more stock, just be sure to have chains OR lockers (and tow points front and rear) and you are in line with the run. last weekend was a good stocker run. this is gonna be much harder!:D :grinpimp:  :bounce: :steer:

edit: i'm leaving the wife and kids at home.

another side note. i will have extra air. enough for me in the cruiser and at least 2 extra bottles in the Ford(enough to air up minimum 4 vehicles beside myself). YOU WILL AIR DOWN!:p
