4-speed is out, New H55 unpacked, 5th gear housing removed and consistent as ever, there’s mold between the trans and 5th gear housing. Scratching my head on this but glad I learned this step from watching Georg @orangefj45
Need to pick up 518 Permatex in the AM so I’m resigned to watching my Red Raiders loose to Florida and now pulling for Duke :). Hope to finish the T-case build and trans install manana.

Gah! Hope mine didn't have that too, or Danny caught it.

Thank you Pat. Your advice recommendations on how to follow the process was huge. And it was great having you here as well. Y’all are welcome anytime.
Thanks my friend. Visiting The Barn is always cool.
It was fun stealing Ben's 40 (thanks Ben!) to get pizza too.

H55 is in. Learned something today that I never knew. The 3F bellhousing (85 and 86) still has to be clearanced to clear the input cover on the front of the H55. I have done several conversions and pulled 3F bellhousings off the shelf and never clearances one in the past. Only thing I can determine is I had collected several 87 and newer bellhousings. I discovered this as I could not pull the trans to mate 100% with the bellhousing. Reached out to the “Professor” @orangefj45. And he explained to me that only the 87 comes clearanced from the factory. Sorry to go down a rabbit hole but I found this very interesting. Anyhow, H55 is in and still have a few things to button up.

She is being picked up by her new owner tomorrow. h55 is done and it’s super sweet. No longer screaming down the HWY at 65MPH. I’ve really enjoyed building this one. New brake booster in my 80 and then on to finish the white 62 with the 12HT. That will keep me busy in my free time for the next 6-12 months. Thank you to all who followed along.
