Classic BAT result.

Shǐtbox South American brodozer goes for $100k and a meticulous, mechanically-sorted truck fails to sell.

BAT is full of shǐt-ass Land Cruisers. Dumb trucks being bought by dumb people.
Yes sir. The high bidder and I have been messaging. I believe we’ve met at an agreeable # and he is highly interested in an H55 swap before he picks it up. And he lives in Midland which is a bonus. Another potential good friend where our common denominator is cruisers :). I appreciate all y’all’s support. I truly do.
Hope you are able to get close Jimmy.

I have come to realize BAT is not the place for vehicles with a focus on mechanical perfection and relatively stock.

Add in questionable practices of an auction site and a peanut gallery that has little attention to detail- very frustrating platform to watch at times.

Every BAT vehicle I have worked on had mechanical or electrical gremlins in the closet... But they did have a smoking paint job.

BAT rigs we've worked on-- Mechanicals are fair/good, electricals horrid and paint is a 10' job at best. Lipstick pigs.

But most are electrical nightmares when we gut them for restomods.

This one brought over 75K on BAT

I like the hamster wheel there. Must be to provide electricity when they did the alternator delete mod.

Happy for you Jimmy! Good seller guy, great truck, perhaps life long buyer friend. Rich life!

And the H55 swap is underway. Sad to say this will be my last “improvement update” I discuss on this thread :(.
However, I did find one thing I left out during the build. It just occurred to me digging into the glove box for something that I had not put back in the light switch for the glove box. Found it in a parts box and wa-la!!! Just remember the headlights have to be turned on for this light to operate. Same as the headlight washers

now I can officially say “everything works as it did when it left the factory”. I was premature using this comment on previous posts :).

4-speed is out, New H55 unpacked, 5th gear housing removed and consistent as ever, there’s mold between the trans and 5th gear housing. Scratching my head on this but glad I learned this step from watching Georg @orangefj45
Need to pick up 518 Permatex in the AM so I’m resigned to watching my Red Raiders loose to Florida and now pulling for Duke :). Hope to finish the T-case build and trans install manana.

Congratulations on the sale Jimmy. Was good to visit and see you, and the 60! Beautiful truck!
