It’s truck selling time of year. Your truck is the best one on there in its category by far. Plus they are all pretty different.

You’ll do great bud.
Totally agree!

Not uncommon for them to hold auctions and then lump them together or stagger them by 1 day each. They've been doing it for the last couple years.

BAT plays their games to sell as many as they can now and not to get the most for the seller. The maximum they make is up to 7500.00 regardless of price over a certain number. They sell on volume instead of price compared to Barrett Jackson and Mecum.

Makes sense J. My brain says, "at least mine is the only 60", but have no idea if the pool of individuals looking at these 4 trucks have a preference. They are all very nice trucks. Will certainly know come Monday :)

You have a good following here and the devil is in the details. I've seen one of the others on BAT listed now and its a "10 footer" with a big price tag.

The BAT auction ends mid day manana. Will see how this goes. Seems they are loading up on 62’s.
My last update on the build (hopefully). I installed the new Japanese made u—joints on the rear driveshaft. Very happy with how well these are to work with.

I think a lot of people in the 60 market boil down to manual vs auto. I know a couple guys looking for mint, unaltered 60’s; but they want round headlights and efi with an auto trans. I would bet a lot of people don’t even notice the difference between the headlights.

Not sure if you’ve sold on BaT, the 40 I sold on there got no action, then in the last 30 minutes it went from not a chance to where I wanted to sell. I’ve got an alarm set for an hour before yours ends and excited for the final minutes.
I agree, it does seem like they lump like vehicles together now. When I sold my 40 on there (2021), they told me they wanted at least 24 hours but preferred 48 hour separation between like vehicle auction ends.

I appreciate your feedback. So this truck potentially selling on BAT is a first for me. And thank you for watching along. We will know the outcome soon enough :).

@CenTXFJ60 I will be watching too. The next couple of hours should be interesting. Wishing you well!

Very disappointing auction Jimmy. Its worth what I mentioned earlier.

BAT is extremely hit or miss these days.
Wonder if Monday had anything to do with it…

No worries at all J. It actually came close to my reserve price. Waiting to hear from the highest bidder. And I have a few emails as well as MUD PM's from 4+ individuals that either bid on it or were following the auction. Having never participated in BAT it is a bit overwhelming just trying to keep order on the communications. Worst case I

The 62 that went for 48k on Saturday 🙄 was nice and all…

The Akuma build I sold has a 38K paint job on it alone and that didn't include the stripe kit from Corsetti or labor to apply.

Some just don't understand the costs involved in these builds.

Always happy to put it out to my potential customers for you. I get calls daily asking for us to do builds or looking for a 60 to RESTOMOD.

As @crtx pointed out on Instagram a couple weeks ago, this went for $50k:

Those are pretty major things to leave unaddressed. The front side markers were on backwards and the crumbling rain gutter sealant was sprayed over too, along with a host of other little things.

I mean, as a truck it's fine. It probably runs fine and the new upholstery (screwed directly into the door sheet metal) must be better than whatever ratted out original stuff was on there before. A restoration worthy of $50k though? I don't know, I don't have that kind of money to spend but in my eyes I would rather take something that got Jimmy's highly detail-oriented treatment all day long. There are some real head scratchers on BAT. A deal could still be worked out on the back end. Fingers crossed for you @CenTXFJ60 !

As @crtx pointed out on Instagram a couple weeks ago, this went for $50k:

I have come to realize BAT is not the place for vehicles with a focus on mechanical perfection and relatively stock.

Add in questionable practices of an auction site and a peanut gallery that has little attention to detail- very frustrating platform to watch at times.

Every BAT vehicle I have worked on had mechanical or electrical gremlins in the closet... But they did have a smoking paint job.
