If its an original color you can have it mixed by paint code and and automotive paint store will pump it into spray cans. Maybe a hardware store?? But I worked at auto paint place in college.

If people didn't know what their paint was from, they would bring us a sample like a gas cover and we would custom match it.

Just got a 1973, FJ40, dark green. How do I find paint for the touch ups, especially in a spray can.
If you are located on the east side of Phoenix, I would recommend Space Age paints in Mesa. John

If you are an original color you can order spray cans here... http://www.apstowerpaint.com/

I have been pleased with the small pieces I have painted.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not sure if the paint is original. Obviously has been repainted (photo attached). Any comments on if this looks like original color?
Thanks

Hey! I think I spotted your rig on the central cali. coast. I posted in the "photos snapped while driving" thread in the "chit chat " section. Nice truck. Did you get the flyer for our spring rally? In keeping this tech related, what work did you have done at that shop?

Yes that would be my new project. Nelsons is a wonderful garage, high quality work. A new fuel pump, and a really good tune up. The rest is electrical issues which I will tackle. I don't know about a spring rally, I'M just getting started in this new cult of FJ40's, and having a great time. Thanks for your interest.
