Paint or Trade?

What kind of a look/resale do you have when it starts to dry-rot and peel?

When you're tired of your wrap, want to sell it, even change it, all you do is peel it off. It does nothing to the paint, unless you already have peeling paint, then you might pull some up.
There's no prep to adding a wrap. Just wash your rig really well and apply. No sanding or anything else. Although, you might want to get all your door dings, and such taken care of.

If you simply peel it off when done and it's easy then me thinks the trees and rocks would peel it off long before I was ready to have it partly peeled... Just don't see how this is a great product for a real truck with scracthes an wear and stuff...
I'm gonna go key some busses and delivery trucks and I'll let you know what I find! -no no of course not...just jokin'

I think these wraps are great for marketing decor vehicles though.

Yep its for sale but it sure doesnt look anywhere NEAR that pretty anymore :D

PM me if interested, i'll give you the full skinny on this fine piece of ...um, machinery lol.

.

If all the "insiders" know Sin's 100 is for sale now then how come it isn't listed on mud? I've always liked his ride and SinCity was actually very helpful when I first joined this forum years ago... A $5K dollar price tag is awfully low for a 100 no matter how may miles it has... The mods alone on this truck exceed that price... Anyone know what he is building now or has he retired from the game? :meh:

Trade or sell and re-buy.

Re-painting a 40 series Cruiser the color you like instead of trading/selling the Cruiser and finding another makes sense.

It would make sense with a 100 Series in the year 2032...unless you are wanting a non-OEM (custom) color...

No way that truck is on the market for 5 k. ..

If so pm me. sold.

Anyway , painting is not worth it at least for now. enjoy it for a few years and then get it painted after a little pin stripe.

Got mica, wish I had white... cooler for summer camping and less scratches... consider yourself on the sunnier side of the fence

I agree, white is an awfully nice color in the cruiser. That color looks tougher than the mica if you ask me, but who am I. The only part I dont like about the white is the color of the bumpers....I vote for keeping the truck and getting new front and rear bumpers.

I didn't know this thread would generate so much interest. My inbox is blowing up with trade offers. I think I'm going to solve this issue within the Mud community.

Hit me up if you want to discuss a trade. Here are some pics:

"You loosed them!"...Huh?

:D:D:D........I love it.

I think he's talking about your shoes.

Truck looks nice overall. If I could I'd pick a white one up to complement mine.

From what I've seen around the cost of a paint job is not worth it. I was looking for the same color you are but I just couldn't find one for the price in the condition I wanted. I instead found a really nice one for a really good price and bought it despite the color. I've decided to stick with it because the nice paint jobs run around $8K from what I've heard.

I really like the River Rock Green but $8k just isnt even close to worth it.

If it helps, I really like the white LC's I think they look really clean

Yes I agree, I like white. ;p

I'm like you in my favor for the RR green. I couldn't find one when I came across a screaming deal for my Black one - second favorite color - so I caved. No regrets here though!

Best of luck in your search. Like you, I can't do too much as I drive my hundy on business outings - for now anyway.

Personally, my thought is if you own a Cruiser, why buy another just for the color? If you want to paint it because you like a different color... paint the silly thing.. end of discussion. I don't care if you like Bozo the Clown red (hair color), if you like that color... paint it! Why get into an unknown vehicle just to change the color? This logic beats me! As for resale, did you buy the truck to make a profit or because you like to drive the silly thing?

OK, rant over, but to me buying another car just to change the color is a waste of $$$. my $0.02.

Someone buy sincitys truck so he has cash to go wheeling with me this summer! This is super awesome for so many people. You get a legendary truck for a great price, he gets cash, I get to go out and not post on mud so even grump monkey will be happy! Trunk should award whoever buys it with a free 1yr silverstar!

ITS A WIN WIN...WIN WIN!!!

Btw hardriver, I bought the 2005 just cuz I wanted a white one. :)
