Here some inspiration to keep you going! (It popped up in the FB Marketplace in my area)

It's funny... A few years ago I said a traveling/mobile fabricator/body guy would make great money and the projects would always be changing.

Got the idea from our "custom" meat processor that comes to our ranch in Texas. He pulls up with an enclosed trailer... brings the cow/pig/lamb etc into the trailer back of the trailer... slaughters and processes and the meat is packaged to your liking and handed to you out the front trailer door.

All he requires is a water supply. Great business.

How are you avoiding dirt and dust getting in the paint if you're doing this outside?

Pretty sure he's just going to shoot and deal with whatever dirt and bugs end up in the paint after the fact. In most situations, you can get pretty solid results just spraying outside. Not sure about single stage, but with the modern clear coat base coat approach each stage has a very quick cure time so there's not too much time for debris to embed itself into the paint. Maybe 60-180 seconds before it's cured enough that a bug or hair would be easily removed. I was amazed how quickly it cures the first time I used commercial grade chemicals. Nasty solvent content, but boy does that stuff work well.

If you're going for a factory or better (show car) job, you need filtered and ventilated air in a booth. If you're going for a solid refresh of an old and worn paint, I think you can do just fine outside.

You get dirt and bugs for sure. I always sand my vehicles down and polish them. This removes most of that stuff. All my show car winners were painted outside.

3 coats, done. Hood is a little dry, but I couldn’t see, probably be fine. Looks pretty good, some dirt and a couple bugs but not bad, should all sand out fine.

Damn. I’m digging that!

Im so happy that I didn't get a bunch of negative comments about the color, I guess I was expecting that. Thank you all for the positivity!

So what's the plan? Put the rig back together over the next 2 days and drive up Wednesday?
