Prepped front bumper wings, painted 1st coat. Made homemade pizza for family, back out for 2nd coat.

I'm loving that color! Nice pizza too.

Side trim done, started door jambs. Not enough sawhorses. Found about 18” of rust underneath the tailgate seal on the bottom. Fixed that, added new drip check and it’s good to go.

Out of curiosity, for a project this size, what kind if any face mask are you using? I may try respraying parts of my 80 at home, and I wonder if the 3m with organic vapor cartridges I have is even necessary or sufficient.

I can see Kelly now "hmmmm a mask might have been a good idea". ;)

Not a mask expert, but I am wearing this one.

Yea, exactly. Today was a little different than the sawdust wood in your garage. But I will admit, my mask wasn’t on every time I sprayed.:alien:

After too much of that crap your swimmers start going sideways and your kids will come out lumpy. Be careful (but keep going, looks great so far)

I made the mistake of sitting down and eating a P&J sandwich earlier. I could barely get up, but I did and finished the rear bumper and door handles. All that is left is mirrors and primer on filler, and the large panels. Easy. Be done tomorrow.

Looking good... So much work

Love a start to finish thread that lasts a week.

And, as a proud Toyota Green 80 and 100 Series hater, I’m glad to see the Calvary blue.

Thanks for documenting!

Looking awesome Sir. I told myself if they came out with a 200 in that color you have I would buy one. Maybe the answer is to follow your lead and paint my 100 that color. The blue, sand and cement are great colors I wish they offered on the LCs.

No time for snacking!! Keep going!! Can't wait to see it in 5 days!
Whatever you pack up for HIH, don't forget that stinkin Slimjim!
