I recently received an almost new power steering pump in the mail which was going to be swapped out with my very old and used one.

When i opened the UPS box i found out that the circled outlet piece in the following picture was bent, enough so to create a small crack in it.

I'm very confident it wasn't the seller's fault and rather was a result of UPS's care for the package. Nevertheless, the outlet/inlet piece looks like it can be unbolted.

I think i should be able to take the old one off my old pump and swap it in. Can anyone verify this for me?

Thanks.

Yes, it comes off. Yes, you can swap it or buy a new union for about 70 bucks. I would replace the o-ring with a new one in any event, 90301-11016.

Thanks Dan,

This p/s pump is almost brand new, 6 months old so i'm hoping i shouldnt have any problems with any of the o rings or seal but maybe it would be smart to just do them while i have it out on a bench.
