Back up light # 81670-60030, I would guess any dealer could get. This for the early style ( small ) light.

Hello all,
A few pics of my FJ56, since this is the place where she belongs. Currently the rigs sits as follows:
-2F with very low miles (not sure how many), due to coming from Japan (and odometer is broken).
-Original 4 speed.
-severe cancer at the top corners of the front windshield posts ON THE INSIDE (this will be fixed someday). other rust is minor in my opinion, and will be repaired with new metal.
-Spring over with 60 axles from a BJ61 on Okinawa installed (Front is cut and turned; rear is a Full Floater with a nice LSD -Factory I think). 4x4 Labs installed these axles and did an outstanding job!
-RHD power steering pump from the same BJ61. (4x4 Labs installed--outstanding job)
-4x4 Labs High Steer set up, with a custom shackle reversal. (4x4 Labs installed--same comment as above and the beast steers great)
-4x4 Labs rear bumper, with a minor mod to install the cooler rack.
-Sliders and front bumper (warn 8274 Winch) built by a man named Jason in San Diego (welding shop near the border).
I brought this in from Japan in 2011, and am just getting to a point where I can work on it here in Missouri. Diesel conversion with 5 speed (I have the H55) is in the plans, along with a lot of body work.

I would like to know the specifics of the 6BT insert (good and bad issues you dealt with). I'm thinking that motor as well and would appreciate any advice you could provide.
I know this a very old post, but figured I'd give it a try.

I've only seen one other pig in Missouri and that was my old one. Nice to know there's another one. Leonard Wood is right down Hwy. 44 from me. Are you still enlisted?

I am in the process of moving the 56 up here from KY (40 and 56), should be here mid month in May.
I'm still active, and will be for a couple of more years (will retire out of here). Once i get the machine up here we should get together--I attended the SMORR event last year, with my 40. Am hoping to again this year, if they have it. Do you still have the parts wagon?
I've thought a lot about the 6BT and 4BT, and am lookign at both. My 45 currently has a 6AT sitting in it, and it works well--although not running at this time, the future is looking brighter for it as I am now getting things lined up to where I can work on the rigs. No decisions on either at this time, but I would like to squeeze a 6BT in it just to do it (if I can without too much pain).
I look forward to meeting you at some point down the line.

I've seen very few Cruisers here in Missouri, near my location anyway (2 40's and a 60 to date). I look forward to meeting more Cruiser heads as time goes by.

Yeah, still have the parts wagon. I've been picking it apart as I rebuild mine, seeing how everything goes together. It's saved my bacon more than once with donated parts. With any luck, mine will be running this early Summer and we can find some dirt roads!

Hello folks, I'm Kim, been around for a long time in the diesel section and am a member of the Coastal Cruiser Club here in the Vancouver area. I picked up this pig last year and just started fiddling with it. I'll start a thread soon.

Two labors of love - Oscar the pig rescued after wallowing for 6 years in a farmer's field (up to the rockers, completely buried in the dirt) and our first canoe! Built by a very proud 5-year-old daughter and dad team. Both are far from perfect, but we have recovered Oscar sufficiently to be back on the road, and the canoe floats like a dream!

That is awesome! Where in CO are you? Can't see any location info on the phone...
We're in Longmont. Oscar was purchased new at Boulder Toyota in 1970 by a physical professor at the University of Colorado, given to his neighbors when he passed away. We're the third owner after they put him out to pasture. Nice to know the history!
