Yes and no. There were some areas that took it pretty hard (see @JohnVee s Fayetteville post in another thread). The Cape Fear set an all time record at the tide meter, so downtown had some flooding. Widespread wind damage. Power outages all over.

My lights flickered a few times and the biggest branch I lost was a few feet long. So Sarah, the boys, and I were quite fortunate.

Lastly, purchased a roof rack mount for the high lift at the Expo!

Also drove a few vehicles with K02 tires in the bfgoodrich test area, I might let go of my "Man Tires" for these lesser bigley tires, impressive.

What about the tires? I've been thinking about something quieter for my next set. How'd they do? I'm guessing there was a little mud last weekend. I know they're not mud tires but I mostly wind up on sand and the rocks in Uwharrie. My hesitation is that I really do hate mud and would hate even worst to be stuck in it.

Sean,
I have the MTs now, but after asking the K02 reps a million questions, I was swayed to change to them and not really need KM2's. They demo the sidewall strenght (I saw this, pretty cool) by driving one of the trucks in a steel track with sharp as hell concrete sheaves directed to the sidewall. I was 3 ft from it, watching it, the sidewall flexed and not a single puncture or scrape. Impressive. Then I drove a Tacoma through their prepared muddy trail, had K02s with street pressure, no slippage, rock crawling also, tires did just as good as my MTs. The grip was very impressive.
295/75 16 K02s are 33.3" tall, I may get those. Black Friday is around the corner too so may wait for it. Or wait for the next downtown looting/protest and break into a tire store...;)

They used the K02s for the 36 hours or Uwharrie too on their jeep.

Thanks for everyone's hospitality, it was great to meet some new folks and reconnect with old ones. I appreciate @Trollhole flexibility to allow my rig to pollute your space filled with Toyotas.

The event was much larger than expected by myself and I'd guess the event organizers. The weather was challenging but nothing that made it miserable, wish I took more pics, here is what I did take...

more info/pics on the 5 ton?

I also got a 28Watt solar panel charger. Payback on it is 312 years, I am a geniuses rocket man!

Were there any hawt expo chicks?

Just me.

I tried to hire a few playboy models but they said no women on display. SO I just brought a restored fj40 and that was way better. Pretty amazed at how busy my booth was.

That's great Marshall. We barely made it in on Sunday before they shut down and didn't get past the first section of vendors before we had to turn around and wait for the shuttle. Sorry I missed everyone.

What the heck? I was expecting to see you all weekend.
