Hurricanes screwed me up the last two years. This year I'm roughly 14 hours away, but I suppose Jolene is plenty comfy for the ride down....

Hope you can make it! The Biltmore was very different than the ranch. Long drive though.

Podcasts.
Load up the phone with interesting stuff and I can cannonball anything solo to 16 hrs. After that I get too sleepy.
Might be a great excuse yo finally hitt the Skyline.

@RedHeadedStepChild you are 14 hrs away? Do you not live in Wilmington, that's what your locations shows.
It can take 14 hours to drive the Jalopy from Wilmington to Uwharrie. Sometimes 24 hours....:moon:

Wife and kids are still in ILM while school finishes, but I'm in Southern New Hampshire now.

oh ok, I was like damn how slow do you drive lol
In the Jalopy, even from Wilmington, it could be 14 hours if you sum up drive time and wrench time.

Just registered!

And I just reread this thread. Came to the realization I just repeated @Izzyandsue 's joke from several posts earlier.

Hoping to go again this year but Adam is working the event now for Land Rover so not sure

Got a code for ONSC, UC and LC to use. Also have retained a spot in the thick of the event for us. Right beside all the booths including mine and easy access. Won't be a rowdy as the other end. I'm staying at the Inn because I am working my booth all weekend but this spot should give you great access without walking a mile. We need ten to use the code.

Your code is
OX17ETHCRUISERS
It will be good for the discount (10%) for any camping ticket: Overland Experience, or Weekend Pass with Camping.
To purchase tickets: http://www.overlandexpo.com/attend-east. Please make sure the discount is taken off BEFORE proceeding with your purchase.
We will require a minimum of 10 vehicles / motos to get the discount, and I’ve set the code to track that.
Couple of new things:
- This year the Biltmore entrance fee is included in the pricing.
- Youth ages 10-17 cost $15 for the weekend. Under 10 are free. Add those tickets at checkout.
- For Overland Experience tickets, if it’s a single person who wants to add a spouse who is not taking classes, that can be added for $95; add that ticket at checkout.
- It’s your responsibility to arrive and hold your own group area and work with the camping staff if needed.
Please as always note the VEHICLE / TRAILER SIZE RESTRICTIONS on the FAQ. Nothing over 30 feet and no big trailers (standing headroom) — no ATVs, no toy haulers. FAQ

What if we already paid ?

Thanks!

We were planning on camping at Mount Pisgah and just driving over for the day on Friday, but will check with the Wife to see if we want to do the weekend pass with camping instead. $90 of Biltmore pass may be enough to convince her to fork out the $$, but still talking about $340 of costs with discount for two of us if I am figuring that correctly.

That's cool, Marshall. I gotta check my schedule but I'd like to come out. The little trailer I camp with is allowed per the rules, which is nice. (Under 13 ft).

So comfy camping with my LC/kayak/fishing pole on the grounds of the Biltmore?! Check.

Oh and overlanding stuff too I suppose?

Double check the use of the ponds - - I think they are off limits

The camping it's next to the French Broad, hairy legs and all. No fishing or kayakaing from the Expo site, but they do have it at the Biltmore Outdoor activity center. Was $10 per day for that pass, including bikes in trails
