Got the rear cross member of the frame patched.

Also took care of the drivers side rear seat bracket. It's not my finest work, but being a 3 dimensional patch, it was a little difficult to get it right so for the bigger gaps, i will use some infiill material. At the least, I have a good sturdy rust free seat support.

The passenger side may not require cutting out entirely. I may be able to just patch it. On the driver's side, I am going to have to drill and weld the nut for the seat belt bolt.
This is going well so far.

Oh, yes, 100%. The problem is I was trying to match the piece in the floor at the same time and it was a little more difficult. I will use a small strip of sheet metal there to shrink the gap.

It’s great that you have Pete looking over your shoulder. Im relatively new to the site, but I gotta think Pete is the main man for rustoration on 60s.

Haha " RUSTORATION". First time I hear that, I'M a gonna use that one ! 👍

So I got a spot weld cutting bit, works real good. Since I was out of welding supplies, I couldn't do much work on the cruiser. Today, I finally finished welding in that patch. Hopefully, I will get some more work done tomorrow.

Also, seems like everywhere I put a steel brush on this thing, I find more problems.

^^^^ I know this feeling indeed.
It takes a lot of ponderring on how to fix the darn thing...it's like a damn 3d puzzle!!

Tell me about it, I am doing " touch up's" on my friends 62,and, well, it's turning into a almost full spray... :bang:
As much as I said that I was not going to paint this thing, I may as well while it is all in pieces...so yeah, I have a feeling that I may find out exactly what you are talking about.

I am finally taking the grinder to the spare truck. Feeling a bit bad to cut into it. Once I am done with the driver's side, it should be much easier on the passenger side. I managed to get the inner fender lip sorted and tac welded into place. I also have the dog leg and the quarter edge ready to work on. Couple pics..

This week I haven’t done anything really, other than welding in the inner fender lip. I did however get a nice surprise this morning, namely, the TrailTailor rear frame inner channel repair pieces. Thank you Jason and co! Have them self etching primed an ready for some chassis black. With so much to do on the truck, I think it’s best I tackle these first, since they are under the truck and I have most of the stuff out of the way now.

I have not been able to work on the truck in about a week and a half. Sigh, this is going to take me a while to finish! Anyway, I am making progress slowly. Finally managed to weld in the inner fender. A bit of mocking up.

So today I ran out of welding gas and I thought to tackle the rear frame inner channels. Holy crap, what a s*** show. After 3 hours, I called it quits, and it’s not cause lack of tools! Grinder, pry bar, air chisel and a drill later, and I still have only managed to remove the left hand side channel. The rivets, forget it. I have to drill them out. I cut them and ground them flat but they still won’t come out! There’s no way those are going to budge. I was lucky with one or two of them, but hell if those things are going to come out...Made a mess again, and have only managed to do 25% of the job.
Any advice?

Yep, unfortunately.
I saw on here in someone's thread that an air chisel will make this job child's play. Pfffttt, other than easily removing the heads of the rivets, it was pretty much useless. I mean it helped with prying the channel off the main frame, but a giant prybar, and cutting the channel length wise is what did it.
Also, notice, I did not remove the spring and shackle but rather tac welded the spring perch into place. Wanted to eliminate a step there in the process.
I guess tomorrow I am going to try and drill the remaining rivets.

OK, so today finished installing one side of the Trail Tailor frame reinforcement channels. Let me just say that one side took me start to finish, an entire 6 or so hours. I have taken out the transmission while laying on my back, done a bunch of crappy work on his truck, but this here process takes the cake. I don't even want to start on the other side. Hopin' the other side will go smoother.
Here are a couple pics.
