Do U guys notice that oscillating engine drone? My gasser used to sound exactly the same. I wonder why..

Interesting... I have noticed it in my 2F but always thought it was due to the cam pattern (or whatever you call it). How do you feel the driveability is now with the turbo added... and how accurate is your speedo? Seems (sounded) like you were not pushing the engine very hard but we at about 2500rpm and only going 65mph?

Oh and any updates on fuel economy?

Ok so the speedo is 5mph slow. I do 70 mph at around 2400 or so. I can bottom the speedo by 3k rpm. Only did that once or so. I took the truck on my grueling test track yesterday morning (section of 17w in NY state, west of woortsboro) where there is a good 3 or so miles long incline where semis have to drive with hazards in the right lane, barely climbing this darn hill. I could barely hold 50ish prior. I can now hold 65 and actually increase speed if I want to but I go by the egt gauge. Stayed in at around 1100 climbing in 5th gear holding 65mph, so hugeee improvement. As far as drivability, it's faster and more responsive, love it. Mpg's I noticed can go as high as 24 if I stay below 2k rpm. I average about 21 but if I keep with traffic and go around 70 mph, which is where I drive while on the interstate, then 17 to 18 is what I get. Bottom line is, it's a different truck now and I'm not sorry to have put a hole in the hood. It's all worth it.

Oh, and thanks for the response with regards to the weird engine noise. I noticed it in my gasser too, as I mentioned. Maybe someone else can chime in, I'm just curious.

Couple wheeling pics from this weekend.

Nice picture/video, snorkel worthy  That aint breaking down, it is just some upstaging attention behavior, ignore it

The landie guy(my cousin who is heard saying come on with your bus) lol, in one of the videos, broke his landie again. Lol, last time he broke down again. That was his belt tensioner giving up the ghost. Ironically, he bOught a sticker saying Toyota recovery vehicle, hoping id break down, little did he know that our trucks are pretty much bullet proof!

Nice lights. Time to fix the demo mode on your stereo. HA!

U know, funny u mention that!! I had it fixed and this funny guy from work decided to play a trick on me and unbolted my negative. I guess it teaches me to leave my truck unlocked no more!!

When bored at work, draw an engine!
This is actually my 2h as I remember it when I took it apart. Nerd, lol.

And since I have not done anything to the truck lately, might as well keep going with the Cad modeling. I know this isn't tech but some of you might get a kick out of it!

So, finaly, today I had to do my oil change and I also changed my oil pressure relief valve, (put in the longer version, thanks to georg at valley hybrids) and it finaly stays at around 80 pounds when cold. Used to go over 100psi. We'll see how it goes. No pics but pretty straight forward install. Easy job if you remove the steering stabilizer.

so I was thinking of maybe looking at purchasing an off-road camping trailer and I was dumbfounded when I saw the prices. The only ones that were decently priced were the TC Teardrops. They have them from 5k up. I went ahead and tried to model one quickly myself. I think it wouldn't be too bad to try and build one. What do u guys think??

I have to keep at the design until it's all sorted. I'll post some updates.
